If price wasn't an issue

Okay, I can't afford knives over $100 but for this case I'd get....a Mad Dog Saxon Sword or BJ Vorpal.

A fancy Loveless with engraving because of the classic lines and the way they just feel so good in the hand. Unfortunately price has to be an issue because as much as i like this knife, to me, the price they are at is just too high to feel good about spending that much. Therefore, that money would go to a Charles Roulin folder where the scene on the blade blends into the scene on the handle when it's closed.

Thanks . If the posts get to where you think we are doing it to advertise let me know. I think Ken is one of the smartest knifemakers around. He gives a damn about what the folks want. BUT he dont slay you with the product. The questions are more for our future and just to show folks that there likes and dislikes are well noted.
IMHO this forums is the future of knives. Members require more and the best. The folks here will predict the knives for the industry tommorow.

And thanks again for all the help from all of you.
Thanks Ken for intellegent questions!

Now for my knife
A Paul Fox Naibsel. (Spell it backwords) hehe
ti and damascus, Da auto. I would just have him call it "nonobtainable". hahahaha
Cool knife though!

I'd like the Katana that belonged to Miyamoto Musashi. Why? Because it breifly carried the soul of the greatest swordsman to ever live.

Ken --

I really like the Boa. I sent you an e-mail to try to get more information about it -- price, availability, customization options, etc. Please let me know!!!

Okay, purely for personal enjoyment, right? And price is no object?

I will have a Millennium Bowie from Hossom Knives, even if I have to sell blood (his knives are very reasonably priced for the quality). I can't describe how light, fast, and tough these knives are. As Don Rearic said "They move like a pissed-off cobra".

The one I have in mind has a 14" blade with Jerry's custom "Ghost" finish (22" OAL). I will carry it in an SB3 rig. Oh, yeah. If you're into bladed sparring and combat, and you don't own one of Jerry's knives, get one. You can see some of his stuff at www.hossom.com

Ken,
You haven't answered your own question! I'm curious what kind of knife YOU would want if price was not a factor. Would you want something by another maker? Something special made by yourself? Perhaps something histortic? I wonder what kind of knife Ken Onion would want?

Holy smoke ,

I turn my back for a day and there are thirty replys. I don't know what to say guys You got me so turned on now with all these wonderful dreams I kinda need to have a moment Ah now I can continue .

First of all thank you all for your entheusiasm(sp) and knowledge of the knife world I'm impressed .

Darrel, thanks for your kind words as I've looked up to you for a long time now . I;m honored . Your right , I'm not asking all of these questions for self glory although I am honored and humbled by the guys that would choose one of mine in this scenerio , I guess I never thought of my stuff like that. Thanks again !

Now when I think of what I'd like I would have to say a Bill Moran #23 fighter in metiorite and Maple with silver wire inlay
or a W W Cronk Fantasy Bowie, Of course Hugh Bartrug made a Viking Dagger I saw once that blew me away .

To many choices......... Ok I'll go with the Moran because he is my biggest hero That guy has been, and continues to be a godsend to the knife community. Imagine where we would be today if Bill never made a knife.

You guys are the best and I agree totaly with Darrell You are setting the pace for the knife future! I personally learn alot about the way this industry is evolving from you the forumites. You are a powerful force.

Aloha!!! Ken Onion

A Chris Reeve gold coin Sebenza and a project I with custom kydex sheath will be enough to satisfy the urge for more knives for a decade or so.

It seems to me that I have seen this question before....

Q36 by R.J. Martin, Talonite Cetan by Rob Simonich and really good katana.

A Project 1 or a Busse Battle Mistress but what I would really like is a Wakizashi by either Phil Hartsfeld or Michael Walker. Either one or both, would suit me fine.

Of those mentioned, if I could only pick one, it would be the Hartsfeld.

This is like Deja vu, all over again.
Ed Fowler "Pronghorn," or better yet, a Damascus Bowie.

1) a large Sebenza,
2) a Bagwell Hells Belle,
3) a Simonich Talonite Carnivour,
4) a Tinker Pierce Basket Hilt,
5) a Tinker Pierce Dirk, and
6) an Al Massey gladius hispaniensis, preferrably of the Mainz style, one of the most beautiful and deadly swords ever made.
