My one looks to have been solidly abused and prematurely aged. I'm no genuis when it comes to sharpening -but this thing got sharp really quick on the old Norton stone.

As a former working mechanic I used a knife daily for all sorts of tasks, our company hired experienced and raw right out of mechanic trade schools. My company had lists of required tools you had to have starting out, by 6 months, 1 year, 2 years and 5 years. I kept a Pakistan "buck" folder to loan out to newbies with the directions that they can borrow it twice and if they needed it more than that they had to buy their own knife or if they damaged mine they had to replace it within 3 days and were not permitted to "borrow" it again. Most realized cheap is not the way to go with tools they were going to make a living with.
