If this were in PA, I'd get it...

That anvil looks pretty beat up for $600.The press is for stamping, not forging/drawing.

I guess I'll pass on this one J., but what exactly is this thing used for? Like a fly press of sorts? The anvil looks pretty well used up also, but still servicable.

This is a punch press. It has a die set in it that is worth more than the asking price!!!!!!!
This unit is for making punched out parts like CLIPS!!!!

Great price also.

Terry LaBourde use to make Damascus with a 100 "I think" ton press like this. He was making BIG blocks year ago.

I didn't even see the anvil but, I don't see why you couldn't use the flywheel jobber for forging and "parts" like Darrel mentioned. Just trying to help out someone who may need tools in that area.

The problem with a fly press of only 5 tons is that it doesn't have enough power. It also only has a small throat ,about 2".If you had 1" dies, there would be no room for the billet. Many billets start out more than 2" thick. These are used to punch out small parts from punching dies.Washers, small guards, small blade blanks, maybe guard slots. You will need a die for each item you punch (they can be quite expensive).A five ton press will punch only medium gage steel.
