Here it is
I been patiently waiting watching the Exchange ready to pounce on a BOSC ID since about 2014. Havent seen one come thru yet. Even tried to deal with the Unsavory character (the only bade id by from Him btw) but even He didnt have one. So My question is other than Few obvious places (Fleabay, AZK, Knife Hunter) any body knows any other place I might find BOSC ID ?
Due to jobs going over seas I lost a really good job of 12+ years, and I fear that If I dont buy one soon, I wont be in a position to buy one probably ever again, or at least not for a long time.
Any suggestions are Greatly Appreciated.
Thank U

Man, good luck there! I have been trying to shake one loose for a long time myself. The aforementioned individual did have one for around $2k a while back and believe me I was tempted but didn't do it. I have even played out a scenario in my mind where I drive to Alabama and bum rush the set of Walking Dead to rough up the punk who carries one on the show to get his, but then Neegan killed him so I don't know who will be carrying it.

The people who have them aren't giving them up so at this point I just hope I am quick on the draw and have the money when someone decides to part with one.

I'm in the same boat, except I haven't been waiting as long as you. I keep looking for one and am willing to pay a premium, just can't seem to find one. The one I did find a while ago was $2k+ and I didn't pull the trigger. It was a beauty, but I thought I'd find one cheaper...oops. :(

Ha, this was the one I was looking at. I contacted him a few weeks ago and he said he has a couple in the custom shop for new handles. If he does get them back, I might go look at them in person before I buy one. Don't think I'll pass on the next one I find regardless of who is selling.

They are almost 10 years old and very limited. Most that got sold off have already landed in their "forever" homes. Many never saw the Exchange and are still with original owners.`For the record, they were $797 for the satin/G-10 versions @ Blade in 2009.

If I considered selling one of my 3 these days...and I am not, again for the record, lol...I'd try listing at ballpark $1400. Going to Blade ain't cheap...and it wasn't in '09 either. ;)

It's probably sitting in a prop warehouse somewhere in L.A. lol

Why list at $1400 when you already know you'd have a couple takers at $2K+? You very likely have others purchased at around the same time that you'd have a hard time getting your money back on? Sus Scrofa, anyone? How about that very limited edition Muddy Mojo?

You're not going to be able to recoup your investment on the ones that under-performed, so why not cash in on the ones that have over-performed?

I haven't seen the 2K one. Is it the same? No mammoth or wood or other rarer versions?

LOL, been there done that. A knife that looks good at 3am after drinking, even a knife in satin, may not sell well later. Ah, well, some regrets. SOW, anyone?

In answer to your question, a member might well choose to sell a blade at a reasonable profit, and leave money on the table in the interest of community, rather than be rapacious.

It is my understanding that back in day when the Busse world was small and knives scarce, good Hogs would sell at near cost to other good Hogs, knowing/trusting that the buyer would pay it forward and do the same favor in the future.

Nice travel down old history road with this- good learning piece for me. That is some serious value appreciation but I must say, that's amazing stuff.
I only come up with 2 official dagger designs is that right? Looks like a lot of machine time went into those beauties.

It was this one. $2100. Damn if it isn't pretty...and I thought about grabbing it. Eye balled it for quite some time, but OP2W took all my knife money at the time. :) If I see another one, price probably won't be an issue. It's only money right? :)

Jaxx how many PMs U got rolling in after that post lol Im still resisting the urge to PM U an outrageous offer lol

Not for nothin but if I were in your shoes mtnman I might wait until after OP2W2 is finished. Just me, and I'm sure you've been thinking about it already. :)

I'm not sure when "the day" was, but I remember back in 2008 when you could get a GW at cost from other GW collectors, but no one was letting a SHSH II or a SHBM go at or near cost. I think there's a difference between the way "good Hogs" treat the stuff they just bought recently and the stuff they bought near a decade ago.

Im quite sure one was listed on the exchange this summer , maybe spring?
I dont think it sold either.
Anyways he is a regular here so probly hear something soon

Im pretty sure U thinking of Hawkeye dagger a while back, it didnt sell. I would of remembered if I missed out lol

Sorry to be unclear. I was thinking of what I had heard about the years before I came here in 2006. As an example of how small the Busse community was, on my first trip to Blade, 2007, I took a Euro 4 that I had then recently scored off the Exchange. At a table in the Pit with Jerry and some Hogs on Thursday night, it turned out that 4 of the 5 previous owners of that knife were sitting right there.
