His adamantium claws would destroy any grinding stones ;)

Comic book geeks rock! And I mean "geeks" in an endearing way; many of my childhood friends were of this ilk.

Question about adamantium:

Is there a reference built in there to the musician Adam Ant... maybe the author/inventor of the mythical steel was a fan? Or perhaps the musician was a fan and derived his moniker from the comics? Just coincidence?

The word "adamant" is a lot older than both Adam Ant and Wolverine. :D

I never read the comics; I just saw the movie last week and applied my cutlery knowledge: since the Rc of Adamantium must be higher than anything else, quite naturally it would destroy the grinding stones :D

Adamantium:

noun (archaic)

a legendary rock or mineral to which many, often contradictory, properties were attributed, formerly associated with diamond or lodestone.
