People over at the Swamp are complaining how quiet it is and how it's been ages since a new knife....well all I can say is take a look at the K9 knives forum, they have only made one knife and hardly anyone uses them....now that's QUIET !!!!!
The thing I can't understand about the K9's is that there are people who paid Deposits 12 months ago and many who paid in full after who have STILL not received their knives. Now that should make us at least a little thankful that when the Rats are in - they are IN.
Whatever it takes to get some input for us cheese starved Rats waiting for a new SR101 offering. Hell, I'm out of work and couldn't buy one anyway but I sure would like something to chat about!!
I agree that the K-9 is very much a ghost-town right now. It's too bad, the Dingo is a great knife but I'm not sure what's going to happen to that line. Tom and Dan are awesome knife-smiths and I was sorry to see Dan move away from K-9.
Some rats that are also dogs are already doing the Swamp Rat funeral services over there. The way I see it, they're all really Busses anyway. I noticed that the Busse Combats seem to sell out well. Why sell $200 knives when you can sell $300 knives? I do love my Rats, though.
This is just speculation, but in the current economic recession, the business plan may have changed. Remember that the Rodent line was announced before the crash. I do hope to hear something about Swamp Rats soon.
Honestly, I don't think the not-having-a-new-blade is as bad as not knowing what is going on. A quick sticky from Jerry would do the trick. Of course, there would be thems that complain about that, so I guess it wouldn't quench the issue but continue it.
When is this place gonna swap over to the Scrapyard forum? (Not to Scrapyard, but to no Swamp.)
