(pertaining to the folders that is) from a "dealer". I bought a Strider SnG (great folder...hello Busse?!) from a top rated dealer (no names mentioned, but you probable know). Knife great, sheath sucked. Loose, and no real retention. Upon contacting customer support, It was suggested that I heat the sheath in a toaster oven and tightly mold the kydex around the handle profile. I know have a nice Tek-Lok attached to a useless piece of Kydex. Tried to contacted customer support again (two times) and never heard back again. F'ing surprise, no?
Gave Dave Brown of BuyBrown a call. He was surprised to hear that this "dealer" was selling these sheaths as they were not supposed to be selling them (something about screwing the original designer on the rights to the design) and to put Kydex in the toaster oven is not SOP. Made a very secure belt carry sheath for me (not the first sheath I have bought from BB) and all is good, except for the $40 I wasted on the first sheath. Regardless of their top rating, exclusive offerings, etcetc, they will never see another $$ from me. I'll go elsewhere or go without before going to them again. HTH. Later
