RULES:
Knife 1: You have to pay for this one yourself. No limit on price.
Knife 2: This one is free! Any knife with a value under $1,500.
Knife 3: This one is also free! Any knife with a value $1,500 or greater.
They have to be knives that actually exist. So you can't say "a Scagel in Stellite 6K" or "a slijoint by Bob Terzuola" or things like that. But it can be a one-of-a-kind knife that's currently in a museum, or a long-out-of-production knife. As long as it is extant on this earth it's fair game.
Once you get them you're not allowed to sell them (nor can your heirs), so don't just load up on Buster Warenski knives like the Gem Of The Orient or the King Tut dagger purely for their resale value (although if you want them, that's fine too!).

MY CHOICES:
- An Alex Steingraber Lamia in CruWear steel. I think they're around $650 or so nowadays. Very hard to come by. There aren't that many custom makers focused on folders that are specifically designed to cut things well. But Alex's focus is just that. Perfect edge geometry and heat treat.
- A Kasé Knives Switzerland Turbo. These are even harder to get than the Lamia. I like it for the same reason I love the Lamia: it's a knife where the entire focus is on blade geometry and heat treat.
- Basically any knife by Ron Appleton, perhaps this one. Ron Appleton is at the very top of the Mount Olympus of art knives, and owning one of his knives would be incredible.
