If you could add any three knives to your collection, what would they be?

Hmmmm, great idea for a thread!

1. Cold Steel Trailmaster 'Flight of the Intruder', all black, Micarta handle.
2. Carothers HDFK
3. Original Vietnam issued MACV SOG bowie, one of the plum coloured ones (where the blueing went awry).

I've wanted to add these 4 to my collection for some time and have had many opportunties to do so but I've NEVER been willing to pay the asking prices for any of them and, while it would be "nice to own any 3 of them, I don't regret not OVERPAYING to acquire any of them.

Spyderco Slysz Bowie
Spyderco SzaboFly

I think about stuff like this everyday. Anyway …

1. Medford Micro Praetorian w/ tumbled S90V blade and gray titanium handle
2. Koenig Aerius non-flipper.
3. Rockstead (not sure which model but I’d like it with titanium handle and polished blade.

Hmmm, I don't have my eye on anything specific at the moment; but I have wanted to at least handle/try:

Koenig Arius, agreed with above non-flipper

Oz Roosevelt, seems a bit on the small side, I would like to see what all the hype is about

Beyond that, maybe just to fiddle with a Shiro or a Rockstead; again just to see how good they are

1) Ray Lacanaco CJ. The design and look just seems so practical and beautiful.
2) Oz machine Co Rosie
3) I can't spend that much on 1 knife so I would take a Mac 2 3.5 and a Rockstead Hizen

I have much simpler tastes, I guess. I’ve had to think long and hard about this, because I already have more knives than I think I’ll ever use, certainly more than I needed to buy, and the one knife in my drawer that I just can’t see being replaced by anything else (Buck Sprint Pro CF). And I definitely don’t know enough about anything to start spouting off a list of these esoteric names some if you guys are so fond of. But here goes.

1 - Buck 656 Large Pursuit Pro
2 - Buck Sprint Ops
3 - Hogue Sig A01 Microswitch Auto Wharncliffe

I reformatted the rules a bit because some people are missing that knives 2 and 3 are FREE in this dream scenario, and on number 3 the sky is the limit in terms of value.

1. Scott Cook Lochsa in Damasteel - plain handle
2. Probably a CMF of some kind. Daedalus or Elkin with some fancy accents to keep it under 1500.
3. Full Custom Shirogorov F7 Titanium - or a Rexford Singularity C

first two are interchangeable

1. Oz Roosevelt
2. Craig Brown Knives FSD or really virtually any model
3. battle-used sword from the Queen or Vatican’s basement

1. LionSteel TM1 (or maybe a Kur). I would love to try a LionSteel and Sleipner steel.

My most expensive knife is $160 so once you get past a CRK, Hinderer, Shiro, Rockstead, my knowledge of higher end knives is severely lacking but I will try ...

2. Dmitry Sinkevich one of the Canadbis Special Edition made by Shiro (and no I'm not a smoker .. :D ) $1400ish

3. Bob Terzoula Athena with Zirconium and Ebony. $3000ish

Demko AD20.5 ti - $315
Hinderer Eklipse Wharncliffe ~ $850
Shirogorov Quantum - $1500?

Since I posted this thread, I've (1) purchased a Steingraber Lamia (it's being made), and (2) got on Kasé Knives' books for a November-December timeframe Turbo build. So excited! (Now I just need to find $30k or so for that dang Ron Appleton knife!)

Knife 1: You have to pay for this one yourself. No limit on price.
- 2019 Shirogorov Knives "Halloween Limited Edition" 111
Knife 2: This one is free! Any knife with a value under $1,500.
- Spyderco Nirvana
Knife 3: This one is also free! Any knife with a value $1,500 or greater.
- RJ Martin - Q-36 in Magnacut OR a Steve Hoel with jade inlays

Ok, I already gave my choices, but one of them totally missed the mark. So … #3 would be a Marfione OTF something or other, that I would beat the ever loving crap out of, because it’s free, and because I don’t think much of its namesake.
