  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

If you could ask Ethan one question................

This might all ready be know but since I'm new to the Becker addiction, why such big KNIVES?? I love them, but why so Big?

He could tell ya, but then he'd have to kill you. As soon, of course, as he was done with Norris.

Ok if I could only ask him one question, it would be the question that I ask everyone that I might only get one answer out of.
If you were a professional wrestler what would your entrance music be?

Dozier's beard would win without even being in the fight.

What's even funnier is that Dozier doesn't even have a beard. His face caught the Persian arrows from the Battle of Thermopylae and decided they looked cool so let em stay around.

I know most of these answers, but I'm not gonna say a thing.

I'm gonna get E to come on here and answer them.

Since he hasn't logged in in almost a month, I think its time he got his butt on here.

:D

Moose

Moose could probably answer that one. However, he has expressed a great appreciation for Leinenkugel in the not so distant past.

Mmmm...can't go wrong with a nice Wisconsin brew. If I ever make it down for a gathering, I'll have to keep that in mind.

When is a folder coming out, preferably a slip joint? A nice scaled down BK2, 3 5/8" handle......

Hey.....

Mr. Norris for absolutely damn sure......

ocnLogan....A really good idea........I will try to put something together as we get closer to release date.....They were a LOOOOOOONG time coming, by golly .....The good news is that it allowed a bunch of improvement BEFORE y'all could start complaining.......

Ozgooner.....Jerry fisk came up with the "Magnum Camp" name and the Eskabar is a conglomeration of ESSE and Ka-Bar.......

I enjoy a bunch of different brewskis and faves change frequently.....By modern standards I am a real lightweight.....Lately I have been quaffing Yuengling porter while listening to Otmar Liebert.....All time favorite piece of music is Ludwig B's fifth piano concerto, Greensleeves and the Beetles' Yesterday.......Mozart's fourth horn Concerto gets me going pretty good as well........Am not really much of a music fan....I have trouble reading and listening to music at the same time.....Reading wins.......Hell, theses days I have trouble listening to a freaking fog horn at two feet.......I see the hearing doc in two weeks .....

Son John did the meat......Three different rubs I think, damn good .........I will try to remember to ask for the recipes....

All Best.....

ethan

Thanks uncle E, I too like the classical stuff, but not enough to know one from another. Just know It inspires me when I write. lol

i also worked on the meat with John. assistant me :>

the meat had a fair amount of fat, and what amounts to some little straps and such, that would have suffered mightily on the grill, so each large slab of meat was trimmed extensively to reduce surface fat, and danglers. all that went into LARGE plastic bags. nice.

later, there were a number of rubs, as Ethan says, three, which were poured on, rubbed in and then made lovely.

as there were *4* pieces of meat, the last one got a combination of the left over spices. all of John's personal recipes apparently. couple styles i think, like jamaican jerk, or what not. pretty good stuff. they were allowed to rest a little as well, to absorb some moisture and settle in.

that was a LOT of meat...
