It could be EDC or for camping/emergency etc.

I would have the following:

Large Blade
Small Blade
Sissors
Saw
Combination Bottle/Can Opener
Phillip Screwdriver
Awl
Tooth Pick
Tweezers
Ball Point Pen

could do all my camping chores and more

Large blade
small blade
sissors
woodsaw
metal saw/file
Torxbit driver
bottle opener/screw driver
Canopener
reamer with sewing eye
Hook
ballpoint pen
clock
philipshead screwdriver
tooth pick
tweezers
led light

I would like to combine a Compact with the bit driver from the Cybertool.

Ergo, my knife would have a:
-Blade
-Combo tool
-Scissors
-Bit driver
-Parcel hook with nail file (I'm a huge fan of having some form of a file on my tools)
-Corkscrew
-Mini screwdriver
-Pen
-Toothpick
-Tweezers
-Pin

Mine would contain everything my old Victorinox Farmer has, except the red anodized finish wouldn't be rubbed off of those Alox handle slabs. :D From my point of view (after having carried mine for many years) that's as good as it gets.

Let's see if I can do an EDC/outdoor while still keeping it "pocketable"

Locking large blade
saw
combo tool
Wenger "universal" wrench
phillips
corkscrew with micro screwdriver
awl w/eye
tweezers
removable flint/ferroconium rod
LED (maybe)

Rfbadger,
I'm happy to tell you that the ideal SAK you describe already exists (with just a couple additions to boot)! Check the Vic Huntsman Ruby Lite. It has all the tools you listed and also includes an LED light, a hook, corkscrew, smaller screwdriver, mini screwdriver (in the corkscrew), and a stainless pin. This knife is my EDC and I love it! It's a tad bit on the large side, but when carried vertically alongside my wallet in my back pocket, I hardly notice it's there. I'm even thinking of ordering a second one just to keep in the box as a backup in case I ever lose mine and the line is discontinued...I like it that much.

You can easily do a search on the model name and pull up lots of vendors.

I'd want a Spirit multitool but with a conventional spearpoint blade and the regular SAK scissors.

I'd also like "plus" scales and a removable belt clip on my Outrider.

I would like alox scales, locking large blade (framelock), small blade, scissors, combo can opener/bottle opener, Phillips screwdriver, awl and corkscrew (for mini-screwdriver).

My perfect SAK would be a Soldier with scissors - basically a Farmer with scissors in place of the saw.

Spartan Lite but with the addition of:

mini-screwdriver
pressurized ballpoint pen
straight pin
and MAYBE scissors (but I could live without them)

I generally find 3 to 4 layers to be optimal, (although i do have a soft spot for my SwissChamp).

In 84 or 91 mm i would want
Layer 1
Large Blade and Combination Bottle/Can Opener
Layer 2
Scissors
Layer 3
Saw
(optional) Layer 4
L.E.D light and magnifyer

On the Spine
Awl
Hook with nail file
Corkscrew with screw-in micro screwdriver

Panels
Glow in the Dark with Tooth Pick, Tweezers,Ball Point Pen and Pin.

I'd also love An Alox version with the above listed first three layers, basically an alox Bantam with scissors.

The pen-ultimate would be the above listed three layers in an alox SAK WITH THE ABOVE LISTED SPINE TOOLS.

Or better yet how about a 111mm one-hand opener with 3 or 4 of the above listed layers in Alox WITH THE ABOVE LISTED SPINE TOOLS.

And of course there would have to be a lanyard ring.
lol!

I would have a Soldier, and add scissors and a pen.
I would also have all implements lock, using the same system as the Swisstool. I LOVE that locking system.

In fact, I have thought about taking apart a Swisstool, and using a single handle as an EDC.

Another potentially excellent (but maybe a bit bulky) addition would be a nice LED, using standard and easy to find button cells (2032 is good because it has decent capacity), and one of the super-efficient Nichia CS LEDs.

id really like a Ranger equipped (saw file scissors, two blades-one locking and one handed , openers, and the typical back side array)

in 111m

in Stay Glo

(whatever floats yer boat)

The huntsman doesnt have a ball point pen does it?

It would be the Compact with a phillips screwdriver instead of the corkscrew and an awl instead of the hook.

It would have everything the SAK Ranger has. And in addition to that, nothing. Which is of course why I like the SAK Ranger a lot. ;)

Large blade (locking)

Large Serrated blade (locking)

Saw blade (locking)

Phillips

Flathead/can opener.

For hiking/hunting/fishing/camping/outdoors use. No unnecessary stuff on it.

The Vic. Hunter and Forester are actually very similar, I will probably get one or the other soon.

Alox grip scales/frames (maybe even anodized)
Large knife
small knife
can opener/screwdriver
bottle opener/screw driver/wire stripper
wood saw
phillips
reamer
