If you could buy one knife

Buck Scholar or Nobleman, for using around sheeple, and an ESSE (ESEE? I get confused..) or Becker, for whatever else.

TOPS has some nice stuff for under 150, if you want to go the tactical route.

I just bought a Hogue EX01 with aluminum handles and 4 inch blade. I would buy another in a hot second alot of knife for the money. As far as a fixed blade goes I would buy an Esee 5 with the accessory pouch and sheath molle back attachment.

Something from the For Sale By Maker forum section.

Something like this, for example:

Yep, go custom if you can! Go to the Makers' For Sale section and get a nice pocket-size fixed-blade!

WELL ... A JK Handmade knives Nessmuk ... have him use my wood to get it for 150 ...
be about all the knife a man could want.

For the price i'd add a vote for the Paramilitary 2 and I'd even consider it over many knives at twice the price. The compression lock is great; it is a close second to a framelock for me. The only problem is that it's an addictive knife to open and close.

I would buy a sage 2, because of years of buying nothing but microtech OTFs, I have found a new love. Titanium frame locks and i cant bring myself to cary my sebenza and i need a sage 2 or bradley.

I have two Benchmade Adamas 275 folders pre-ordered. They are about 120.00 each.

I've also got two on preorder! I am going for the 275BKSN plain edge, and the 275BK Limited Edition.
Not real keen on the handle holes, and black blades, but the rest of the knife outweighs those two "faults" and make it a got to get in my eye's.

I would vote for the Para 2 also. It is the only non-CRK that I carry these days.

Im gettin pretty fixed on knives. The question is... If you could buy one knife $150 or less what would it be and why? i dont need one for any certain purpose... just want a new one to carry :D

That's easy. Try a Victorinox Farmer. It teaches you to look beyond what you have in your hand, and begs you to use it to create your own improvised tools in many different situations. It's much more than just a knife. It also teaches some good old fashioned common sense knife use, forcing you to live within the boundaries of a non-locking slipjoint. The Vic also has far better fit and finish than most knives the industry, at a fraction of the price. Very sheeple friendly too, which is almost always a plus.
