If you could change ONE thing ...

Have a G10 option for the base model Benchmade Griptilians, I know they have a new dolled up G10 version for quite a bit more money, but I think it's reasonable to offer plain Jane black G10 on the base model. If I can get it on a Spyderco Tenacious for half the cost I don't see why I can't have it for a full US production knife at US production prices. Nothing really wrong functionally with the FRN factory handles it just dosn't feel like a ~$100 knife

I wouldn't change any of my knives, if they weren't perfect for me I wouldn't be using them. BK20, Fiddleback Forge Bushfinger, Spyderco Native, Benchmade Rift, and my newest one the Carothers Light Chopper. Can't think of anything I'd change on any of those.

Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of knives I wouldn't change, and obviously, we've seen lots of suggestions for already great knives--in case you missed it, the proposal was to change one thing about "some of [our] favorite knives."

This said, it's better to be happy with what you have rather than wanting what you don't. Kudos. :)

ZT0562 and 0562cf: make the thubmstud (yes I know it serves primarily as a blade stop) just like Hinderer's so that it can be used as another method of deploying the blade. Originally I thought it cannot be used to open the blade, but after break in, it actually can.

ZT0801: add some jimping.

Spydercos: add a small sharpening choil.

CS Talwar: make the portion of the scale where the index and middle fingers land a bit wider.

Oh I don't want for much . . . just a couple little tweaks . . . on almost every knife I own :

1. For Phil Wilson to heat treat my blades . . . one exception Ritter Grip with M390 steel is perfect.

2. Thinner blades; I'm not into bad ace looks (thick blade) I just want to cut stuff and have never had any blade ever bend or break which translates into blades that are too thick.
A good ratio would be on the order of four inch and 2mm thick to mix measurements. Insane you say ? Yah maybe but I think I would do fine with that. My modded Ti Lite four is that and sings right along.

Soft super steel blades suck and thick blades suck even more.
Unless it is an art knife safe queen . . . that's all cool . . . I am just talking relatively inexpensive EDC.

OK . . . I'm going to close my eyes and click the heals on my ruby slippers together twice and see what happens . . .

Steel liner on the lock side for the Emerson CQC-7 instead of Ti....its still a perfect knife ;)

A thicker, more comfortable Para2 handle.

...conversely...

A thinner, slicier grind on an 0200.

Second the para 2 liner lock... and 1/4" shorter on both ends.
Sage 1 cpm-m4, or at least 52100.
52100 or cpm-m4 Military 3/4" shorter on both ends.

Sebenza - I'd give it an ambi lock. Whether it be axis, ball bearing, lockback, etc. I just don't like frame locks.

Delica - make a non-laminated super blue version.

Blur - linerless g10 sans the assist

Skyline - 30% size increase

Leek - make the damned Elmax version again!

Manix 2 LW FRCP - Make an emerald green one in a carbon steel. Patina!

Broken Skull - drop the billboard on the blade

Link - ditch the presentation side liner

Direware - Stop making them.

I should be a consultant!

Give me a Spyderco Tenacious with better steel and an oval thumb hole so the knife takes up less pocket real estate. Also would like to see an oval spydie hole on an native 5 and a Manix 2.

Wish the Mercator "cat" stopped blade closure with the kick and not the tip. I like that classic knife quite a bit otherwise.

I'd change the stupid little thumb stud/post thing on the BM 530.

Only thing wrong with the knife itself... and it's drastically wrong.

I can see why you would feel that way about the BM 530/531 and I have to agree, it is the only thing wrong about the series.

Would love to see some other colors of G10 on the 531.

Opinels should come standard with a lanyard hole.
Years ago I would have said that Opinels need to lock closed. They fixed that, now add the lanyard holes. :)
