If you didn't have any of these knives and could choose any one but only one which would it be? The choices are,

CRK Large Sebenza 21 w/ Wood Inlay

Lion Steel SR-1 w/ Titanium Handle / Damascus Blade

RJ Martin Overkill w/ Carbon Fiber Insert

Kirby Lambert Snap Flipper

Hopefully this helps me with my next purchase :D

The RJ Martin and lambert would be out because they are both recurves so that narrows it down to CRK and Lionsteel for me.

I would say flip a coin between those two, you can't lose.

I've had the Sebenza, a RJ Martin Devastator, and have a Lion Steel SR-1V. Never have been able to get a Lambert. I could kick my own butt for getting rid of the Devastator, but it was divorce time and attorneys cost!:)

So to choose between these, I would have to go with the Lion Steel. Why?, because it is a very well built folder, has superb lockup, the blade steel is excellent, the one piece handle, and the thick, flat ground blade. This folder is built as well as some customs, course for $400 I guess it should be! I consider the SR-1 to be a beefed up Sebenza.:)

I am saving up for an SR-1, I like the blade grind better than that on the Sebenza, and I think it looks freaking amazing.

I would pick the Sebenza. Out of all the choices it's the best all around EDC. Like Ankerson said recurves would present problems. The Lion Steel is a little too big and heavy for me. I've never had a Lambert so I can't comment on it. The Sebenza is the easiest to maintain, probably carries the best. CRK has one of the best pocket clips IMO. The double bend keeps the knife in the pocket and it's not too tight making it easy to slip it out.

I have a Large Sebenza, Lionsteel SR-1, and the R.J. Martin Overkill in S110V. Out of those, I like my Overkill best.

Having both a hollow ground blade and a recurve with a 4 inch blade, it offers a lot of cutting edge. I'm not too crazy about the pointed thumbstuds on the Sebenza, I much prefer my Umnumzaan over it because of that. The SR-1 is actually very light for its size. The deep pocket clip and smooth titanium handles means that it isn't all that obtrusive in the pocket, though it still takes up quite a bit of space, being a big knife and all. My only real beef with the knife is that the lockbar is even more stiff to disengage than my Umnumzaan, and the steel isn't stainless(a big issue living in Hawaii, with most of my cutting being on food).

I've still got my eye on the Kirby Lambert Snap flipper though. The ergos looks great and the blend of materials seems like a real luxury piece for the price.

Exactly my thinking as well -- I'm not a fan of recurves.

I have a couple of your choices...an RJ Martin brickmold Overkill and a CRK. The recurve on the Overkill really isn't that pronounced. The knife came scary sharp and is easy
to keep sharp(stropping). I like CRKs but don't carry mine much any more. You do get your $ worth but there are other $400 + knives that are equal but in a different way.

ZT has a new model coming out fairly soon..the 0777. $480. Pics can be seen on the Kershaw/ZT forum....there's a thread about the knife. They have had more preorders
for the 777 than any knife they've ever sold. The knife is about the size of a 0200 acording to a BF member that saw and held one at Blade. It's much lighter 4.8 vs. 7.7 for the 0200.

never having had any of those and not being a fan of recurves or hollow grinds, I would pick the Sebenza over the SR1.

RJ Martin. One of the best out there for sure. They are all good though, you cannot lose. Each a bit different thought.

The Martin.

RJ Overkill is the top of the heap for me. If you can get one for the price of a Sebenza then jump on it because you will never get another at that price again. Same goes for the Snap. I haven't handled a Snap, but have handled a few Lamberts and that man definitely knows what he's doing when he's making a knife. I don't know how many Damascus/Ti SR-1's have been made, but you can pick up a wood inlay 21 Sebenza pretty much whenever you want from CRK. Trying to get a knife from RJ right now is tough because he's not taking any orders. I don't know if Kirby is taking orders either, so I would jump on the Overkill or the Snap while you can. I'd probably make the Damascus SR-1 my third choice, followed by the Sebenza. I too would like to point out that the recurve on the Overkill is not extremely pronounced. They can be sharpened on a Sharpmaker or an Edge Pro with 1/2" stones and can be easily touched up on strops.

SR-1 Damascus. I have the Sleipner SR-1 and edc it. Very well made and loaded with features.

Some very interesting responses. I appreciate all of the feedback thus far. I would like to own all of these eventually. The CRK was a top contender but Tony8179 brings up a good point in that they will always be fairly easy to get.

Regarding the SR-1, I'm not a fan of D2 since it isn't stainless which is why I said the Damascus version. Not sure how well that would be for the edc rotation since I've never owned a Damascus blade. Still undecided.. I emailed Lambert about a month ago, great guy and he was taking orders then. Not sure about RJ.

I'm pretty sure that RJ isn't taking orders right now, but it never hurts to try and contact a maker. I think you'll be extremely happy no matter what you choose out of the four. Good luck.
