I like the modular idea. Two ways it could go...
Pay about $150 to get a kit-box with lots of tool options then just build up tools to suit your needs. Plug'n'play depending on the needs of the day.
Or maybe have a website where you build your own tool and for $100 you get the exact thing that's right for you. --This would be if the home-based build-up is unreasonable.
