I always love satin or competition finish when available with black micarta. I’m with Jeepin in thinking thinner would be amazing for this knife but beggars can’t be choosers lol

I envision this thread as a funnel of thought to Jerry and the Crew if they find stuff in the attic like the Nuclear Muskrat they posted in Operation Rolling Thunder the other day. What could we wish for on the exchange if it came up for sale.

Back in a day due to being just out of school and having no money, I had to make a choice between that one and and an urban grudge. I don't regret my choice...but missing out on that one still hurts.

The re-release, if it ever happens, isn't going to be true to the original. Kind of like re-released urban grudge. I made peace with never getting my hands on one. Even if it shows up on the exchange, these are now collector items and not really a knife for every day hard use. I know some of us still use $500+ knive, but there is just a difference between those and stuff like the recent patrol release...

The new mini mean street xc looks super close. ETA Half inch shorter with the XC heat treat is a great trade off plus solid hunter orange!

HG-55's are fighters. Supposed to be combat tough. Not sure bringing them back thinner *and* INFI XC or AEB-L would be a good fit.
Maybe slightly thinner in Magnacut or 3V might be better?

I regretfully sold mine because it was too thick behind the edge to get it as sharp as I wanted. Slightly thinner in 3V or INFI XC would be awesome.
