If you could have it back?

I have not regretted any sales. I rarely jump into a sale on the spur of the moment, I consider it for a few days then make the move if it still feels OK.

I have had a couple of people contact me asking to buy stuff back that they sold me!! I feel really bad about it but I've said no each time only because they are knives I really want to keep. :(:)

Since I started making knives, about a year ago, I havn't kept a single one of them. To clarify that, I did, once or twice, but later gave them away. Each time, I would tell myself, "the next one, I'm gonna keep." I can't really say that I regret it though, I enjoy giving them away.

I lost a Gerber SanMai belt knife that I'd bought in the 70's - loved that little baby - skinned and gutted a lot of rabbits with it. Never shed a tear over the Puma I'd lost at the same time (house move)

I don't sell knives I buy. I end up giving them away. I just bought nine Byrd Meadowlarks and have already given two of them away (with parent's permission) to two varsity scouts who live in our neighborhood. I don't regret giving any of my knives away.

I had a Fallkniven F1 with the leather sheath. It was a great knife, but I figured the RAT3 filled the same boots so I sold it. I was fine at first, but now that I've been getting outdoors more and more often, I really miss that knife. Beautiful looking blade.

I purchased a Charles Marlow framelock. I think it was the only framelock he ever made. Sold it here on the forums, because it was to nice to use. I wonder what it is worth now:confused:

• A cut down M1 bayonet I found in my grandmother's house after she died.
• About four of the 20 or so Randalls I'd purchased over the last 15 years.
• An early Benchmade AFCK.
• A Benchmade AFO I gladly gave to an Army Special Forces Major (Captain at the time) who used it well and used it up in Iraq and Afghanistan. I'm not sorry I gave it to him but when I went to replace it, they were no longer made.
• A MadDog ATAK Hunter I gave the same SF Officer. The wait list for MadDogs is so long I decided not to replace it.
• The CRK Green Beret I gave a USMC trooper who took it to Iraq. Now that I'm retired, I don't need it anymore.
• The Ruana 6" Bowie/Fighter with the SOG ground blade.
• The Cattaragus 225Q I bought on the net and when it arrived, it had a name and service number on written on the sheath. I sleuthed the web till I found out the guy was an original member of the AVG, the Flying Tigers. I also sluethed out his son, who was his only remaining family member, and sent it to him as a family heirloom.
• The Puma Hunter's Pal I bought in England in 1971. I gave it to my daughter for backpacking.

I wouldn't undo the deals above but sure do miss those knives at times!

I really miss my Caly3. I sold it here on BF cause I needed to get me a drill press and sold some knives to get it. It just melted into my pocket, cut like the dickens, and was nice to look at.

Knife I sold and regret it most is the ER Col Moschin double edge military version - hard to come by. I also miss a bit my BM Ares 732 PE satin made for Moteng, although it wasn't my cup of tea...

This D'Holder with rare reverse S guard and banded onyx.

Sold it not long ago to a person that has been wanting to buy it since I showed it to him 3or 4 years ago at Blade. He's a super nice gentlemen, and did offer me a VERY good price for the knife.

I was already missing it as i began to box it up for shipping, but it was to late to back out then. At least i know its in a great guys collection.

I would be missing that one as well. It's beautiful.

Traded off a Benchmade 850 Pearl that I dearly miss, but I ended up trading it for a Microtech LCC D/A which I'm very glad I did.

I had a Chris English Z Auto knife with Titanium handle and a beautiful ladder pattern damascus blade, and deep colored white pearl handle inlays. Damn, I wish I'd kept that one. I traded for 3 decent knives, which I barely remember.:grumpy::mad::(

Nothing much else comes to mind, and that's saying a lot for the last 15 years of knife accumulating.
