If you could have only just one Spydie ??

Definitely my plain edge Military. It's lightweight for it's size, has the perfect blade length and shape, is great for daily carry and for camping chores, and I love the 440V steel. I am considering getting another one just to save in case they ever discontinue it.

It would be hard to decide between the Native and the Chinook. The Native 'cause it can handle more delicate cutting tasks, and the Chinook 'cause it's such a tough folder. They both feel GREAT in my hand.:).

...But if I could ONLY have one, it would be the Chinook, as that folder should be able to handle anything that I'd ever need it to do.

Wow! That is a tough one. I'm not much of a folder fan in general. I do carry my Ladybug everyday for general utility purposes. I'm thinking of obtaining the new Jester to use instead of the Ladybug.

If I could only have one Spyderco it would have to be the new LUM Fixed Blade Tanto (FB03). I have two (one to collect and one to use). I absolutely love fixed blades and am in awe everytime I look at the design of the LUM fixed blade. To me it is a work of art. I only wish that Spyderco would do a run in BG-42 or VG-10.

The Cricket! I love all of my Spydies equally, but recently I picked up the Cricket and just tought, "man this thing's sweet!"

I'm sure I wouldn't answer the same next week, as my favorites seem to shift around a bit.:D

Military, Plain edge.

Tough, cuts amazingly well, easy to sharpen.

I abused one until the blade broke, Spyderco replaced the blade for nominal cost.

Regards,
FK

If I could only have one, it would have to be my Black Military. Probably because the Military is my favorite model, and it took me so long to find a Black one. Worth the wait.

My choice would be the Jester. I always use my keychain knives more than any other blades I own. Obviously, the Jester isn't the most fun or cool Spyderco. For me, however, it is the most useful Spyderco.

I vote for the G10 Police PE ATS-55 - top lock with David Boye dent. Light, flat, very easy to carry. Great for EDC - both utility and MBC.

Of course, my opinion is not universal since this model has been discontinued!

First choice would be stainless steel-handled rescue. Strong, has a proven lock that I trust, cuts things that other knives can't, and has plenty of what I buy Spydercos for - SpyderEdge!

Second choice would be stainless steel-handled ProVenator/ProGrip II with 50/50 blade. Versatile utility blade, small enough to be legal in most locales, and comfortable, sturdy handle with a good grip.

You said only one though...

Just one!?! It would have to be a Delica. I've carried one for 7+ years now, and it has seen alot of use.
:)

I guess it would be my PE military.Perfect all around user.If they made a military the size of a Deica that would be it.I know they are comeing out with the paramilitary but its not going to be exactly the same as the military. Seems like with a winner like the millitary they would keep it the same and just down size it a little.

Military, plain edge, no question.

I've never held one, but I'd bet the Wegner would be just as satisfying.

Millie, PE, 440V... haven't got one, yet(will this fall), but she seems to take use well, according to reviews about it.

i would have to say my fav spydie is the discontinued starmate w/a plain edge

#2 is a police w/SE, metal or G10 handles

Plain edge large Wegner. It fits my hand, and is a stout knife for outdoors.
For EDC, Delica gets my vote because it disappears in my pocket until I need it.

The Vesuvius without a doubt.
Very versatile blade design and terrific lock, and not too heavy for EDC.

Good luck,
Allen.
