If you could have only just one Spydie ??

My Li'l Temperance with the leaf blade a PE. Small enough to carry anytime and everywhere. Blade shape and grind are excellent for utility, the overbuilt handle & mechanism is great for anything else.

I carry the Wegner Mouse in the change pocket of my jeans. It goes everywhere I go. For my tasks, it is the perfect 'knife' companion.

My choice would be the fully serrated Police. Great knife. Packs comfortably, stays sharp, cuts like wildfire, and packs a lot of blade in that handle. But let's be thankful that we aren't restricted to just ONE Spyderco knife. That would be a tragedy. :)

Ahhh, you guys and your straight blades... Since we are using an imaginary situation, I'll give my imaginary solution: A Harpy with 4" blade of VG-10, half serrated, G-10 scales (in blue), with boye dent on lock. And heck, throw-in a thong-hole & ambidextrous pocket-clip.

Lil' Temperance. It covers all my needs and I can carry it almost everywhere. Oh yeah, and it's cool :)!

I'm switching mine to my Calypso Jr. lw.

I just can't make up my mind!

Well I currently own, or have owned in the past, a fair amount of Spydies: Chinook, Lum ti tanto, Delica, large Dyad, small Dyad, Pro Venator, Pro Grip, Ladybug, Dragonfly, Rescue Jr., and probably a few others that don't spring to mind right now. If I had to pick just one? It would be a battle between the small Dyad (w/micarta scales) and the SS Pro Grip (plain edge). Why? The small Dyad is more office friendly and gets more use than all my other Spydercos. The Pro Grip gets used less, but appeals to me on a much more basic level. Can't really explain it. The fact that the Pro Grip is practically bombproof might be a factor, though!

So ... in the office I'd pick the small Dyad. Outside the office, the Pro Grip would get the nod.

A s/s Harpy - I prefer a metal handle for EDC as
1. it always gets knocked about (and has been used as a light hammer on more than one occasion),
2. the metal handle models make a nicer "snick" when it opens, and
3. I can admire myself in the shiny finish
also blade length is legal here (but lock isn't - Doh!) - small enough to be discreetly carried - looks cool when opened, but has that "workman like" curve that convinces sheeple that it is for cutting and not for stabbing (as long as they haven't seen Keating's video or Hannibal) - and just because it was my first Spydie.

yeah, i would have to go with the balisong also raranney, hopefully someone will have a pic of this thing soon.

I'm with Dirty Harry. Fully serrated SS Police. I sure would miss my lookers (Viele, Herbst, Shabaria, JD Smith, and the CF guys) but the Police performs the best for all the things you need of a knife. For utility, ruggedness, comfortable carry, good looks, and SD (if necessary) it's hard not to choose the Police.

The Military comes close but it scratched my car in the past and I still hold a grudge against it. Sure seems like it has a mind of it's own. ;)

The Civilian. Its the most unique and the only one you cant get something similar somewhere else if you had two. Second choice would be the Chinook, and 3rd the Military.

Has any fixed bladed been chosen ?
I would go with Moran drop point, but trailing point is excellent also.
