If you could have only one folder

If you could have only one custom folder, and money was not an issue, who would you want to make it???
 
Very tough call, but I am leaning toward Rick Hinderer. Super nice guy who makes awesome knives.
 
Hard to limit to one but I would have to choose Jim Schmidt.

Close after Schmidt would be, in order, Harumi Hirayama, Jurgen Steinau, Charlie Bennica, and Kaj Embretsen.

I'm assuming that the rules of the game are to find a knife and keep it. There are folders that are so expensive that if I could get one, I would, and then sell it to get one of the names above.
 
Only one ? That's not fair, I would need at least 3 to cover all the guys I must have a folder from. :) OK, if it's only one it's:

Keith I love Viallon's interpretation of the Laguiole folder..Do you have one?
 
Sorry,I cannot answer that question,it is too hard of a decision to make.
 
That IS a very difficult choice to make. There are some FANTASTIC knife makers out there, that I LOVE.
 
It would be a Ray Cover knife and probably another folding hunter similar to the one below that I already own...and will never part with. I know many people might not think that is a high enough aspiration, but I bought my very first custom knife from Ray Cover several years ago. I now know Ray very well,and am still amazed by his work. The words of wisdom along with hours of gun and knife talk he has shared could never be replaced. Not to mention he makes a dang nice knife...and not just "For the Money" as is so often said... Nice Period! and thought out on a level many will never realize.

Well, if he took orders, a Darren Chard Satin Wheels folder.

Current people taking orders, it'd have to be RJ Martin- a Devastator.
