If you could have only one........

I'm new to this site and I'm sorry if I'm being repetive, but ya don't have to hate, just sayin. And to the people who answered my question honestly, thanks.

That is a damn hard question to answer.

How about one folder and one fixed. Even my Tree-cutting , dirt farmin Grandad had one of each :)

Ain't no hate and I answered your question honestly, just added my own feelings to my answer.

Hell I opened your post, so curiosity got the better of me, why, I don't know but I still answered your question and I did it without makin' any type of derogatory comments.

Now I wonder which side of the fence yer gonna place my answer, am I a hater or an honest answerer?

Without question, a Busse Custom Shop Active Duty, the
original one with the thinner blade.

I would like to change my answer from Smatchet to Charlie Sheen because with fireballs and poetry flowing from his finger tips I'm pretty sure any blade would do.

Plus, don't forget, he's bi-winning. How do you beat that? :D

JK. I think I would take my Scrapyard Dumpster Mutt.

Thanks for clearing things up.

Well... Victorinox Alox Soldier. Its tough, its very useful. Its easy to sharpen hair shaving sharop even in field conditions. Its very resistant against rust. What else can you ask?

If I link a 'one knife' thread to the official 'one knife thread list' like this...
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=472961&highlight=one+thread

... will the universe cease to exist? Dang I hope not but if so - my bad.

To answer your question - Becker BK2.

OP - don't take it personally. It's just that when someone says 'only one knife' lots of us giggle because we've seen this so many times.

It's like the old joke about prison inmates. A new guy is in his cell and he hears someone holler '27!' and everyone starts laughing. Someone else hollers '119!' and the inmates all crack up again. He asks his cellmate what's going on and the guy tells him, 'we've been here so long and have heard all the jokes so to save time we just have them all numbered.' New guy asks if he can try and his cellmate agrees. New guy yells out '51!' and there's dead silence. The cellmate says, 'you dont know how to tell a joke.'.

Amazing that with all of our knife knuttedness and steel snobbery and tacticoolness so many would stick with a SAK. Can't say I disagree.

I'd like to change my answer to Bear Grylls' knife. Not the ones he shills for Gerber, but this one!

^Hilarious.
Multiple "only one" threads give me the chance to change my mind.
So (this time) I'll go with my GEC #23 in Ebony wood.
Beautiful yet functional.

Probably my Millie. Or ZT 0200. Or Griptilian. I would be okay with any one of the knives I own.

If i could only have ONE, it would be a Busse Nuclear Meltdown Fusion Battle Mistress LE

it would be tolerable at skinning and the like, but would be EXCELLENT for camping tasks and such

I'd really hate being that limited, but i could make do

I'm amazed at all the folders. If I could only have one knife it'd be a fixed blade. Possibly my Bark River bush crafter or Falkie F1...
