I would have to go with the 4.1 in 3v even though it's technically not stainless 3v is fairly easy to care for .

I was kinda asking this question earlier about myself not being able to decide if I loved the 4.7 or the 5.1 better..
I do think it may be the 4.7 if I really had to decide

Wait a minute...
Are you asking us if we can only Carry one knife as in only own one knife, or are we allowed to own a bunch of knives and only carry one?

There are way too many knives that I still need to get my hands on to play a one knife only game!

What about all the poor Fiddleback's, TM Hunt's, Blackfeather's, Busse's, Carother's, Adventure Sworn's, Rod Garcia Skookum's and Sargent Edged Tools to name a few?
They all need a good home and attention!

I'll go out on a limb and say maybe he meant to specify "of you only could have one GSO". OP, correct me if I'm wrong :)
Otherwise, Standard, those are all good!

Survive's current 3v has worked just fine for me, I'm not even sure I'll be able to notice if D3V is any better.
You're right. I doubt I could tell a difference, but I just like the idea of THE best available!

I've been pushing some D3V pretty hard from another maker and I'm not sure I'll be able to tell between it and this last batch of 3V either. It's all good steel. The one area I think I've noticed a difference is in corrosion resistance. I haven't been careful at all with the D3V and while not truly stainless, it is very stain resistant. Silver can rest easy knowing it's at the top of the food chain :D

Oh, and on topic, if I had to choose one, I'm sure it would be a GSO 4.7. Well I don't have that one yet, so maybe it would be one of my 4.1s. Although I do love my 3.5............. ;)

Man I love my 5!!!!!

They're both so good and so close, but between the improved heat treat and handle contouring......... I have to go 4.7.

Actually I'm happy to hear this (even if I was giving you some friendly ribbing :D ) I've kicked myself hard for letting the opportunity to buy the 5 pass because of the 4.7 starters, but if you're choosing the 4.7 then that makes the blow somewhat less. I bought that 4.7 of Vernal's so there is light at the end of the tunnel. :)

I need someone keeping me in line ;)

Great news! Will you get it this week?

And yeah the 5 is such an amazing knife, but the updates to the model make the 4.7 so worth it.

I like the 4.7 just fine, but if I only had one. I'll take a 6.
If I didn't have to worry about carrying in urban areas 7/7.
