10? I don't have a list, but I lived for many years with only one or two knives available for my use other than in the kitchen. I have more now, but I could easily return to a couple knives. There was another thread here with the subject being "what three knives would you replace first if you lost all of them?" presumably to fire, theft or perhaps a boating accident. I chose essentially my faithful SAK, a Delica, and a 4-5" fixed blade. I could easily dump the fixed blade in favor of a good slip joint such as the GEC #42 (Missouri Trapper) or a sligntly smaller trapper pattern slippie as being replaced first and this echos my general preferences based on common usage with knives in general. Kitchen knives are another matter and I guess I'd have to decide between paring knives and regular silverware (knives, forks, and spoons or the knife part). But I generally only use two or three knives in the kitchen with any regularity.

eb1118, I guess you don't use paring knives or other knives in the kitchen. I could develop a list that excludes kitchen knives. I don't own any expensive kitchen cutlery, just Case, Chicago Cutlery, Victorniox, Faberware, and a few other brands. I don't really like using non-kitchen knives in the kitchen (food) unless I'm just playing around.

There's others I'd probably like to have instead but don't have the money for. These are all going to blades i will keep. FOREVER.

Excluding kitchen knives and knives I own, (1) Vic SAK Adventurer, (2) Vic SAK One handed Trekker, (3) GEC Missouri Trapper, (4) Northwoods Madison Barlow, (5) ZT 0770CF, (6) Kabar Becker BK-16, (7) Dozier Professional Guides Knife, (8) Blackjack 125, (9) Spyderco Delica, and (10) Dozier K-36 Companion. My Condor machetes and short machetes would handle the chopping chores.

Interesting that no one has included a BK-9 on their list. Some BK-2's made the list.

Lessee...ten is usually more than I get for these kind of threads. One through for is Vic Pioneer, Huntsman, Classic, and Bantam. Then Buck 303, Case Trapper, Mora Classic 2, Opinel #8, ESEE 6, and a yellow Pacific Salt.

Here goes! This is going to be tough but I will try! These are the ones I would keep to be used. It would be different if it was the ones I were collecting. If no certain order here they are.
