Arrrrrrr! This is next to impossible! As I sit here and type, I'm looking at about......thirty or so knives (just in front of me). Some are easy choices but others are not (due to sentimental reasons). My list would go something like this :
.) Swiss Army Knife (something with a Saw) "Farmer, Hiker" etc.
.) 8" to 10" Chef Knife
.) Spyderco Para Military 2
.) Some sort of "Survival" (i.e. overbuilt) Fixed Blade such as a BK-16, TOPS 4.5 HOG, etc.
.) A very difficult choice would be which one (or more) of my many smaller fixed blade knives to choose : Nick Rossi EDC, BK14, Morris Pee Wee XL (soon to arrive), TOP BTK (Bird Trout Knife), Little Bone handle vintage BR & CO. Scandi knife, a quality Paring Knife, a (hope to own) Canadian Belt #1 Canadian Belt Knife, a (hope to own) TOPS Scandi Trekker", etc.
.) My (one of a kind) "Brian Efros" Custom Canadian Belt Knife (3.5 blade) STOUT/OVERBUILT OAL 8"

.) Here on out is where is gets really difficult/emotional : my Custom Ken Hamilton circa 1700's style "Dutch Flamand" Knife (similar to this pix) Mine has Boxwood Handles

.) Do I choose a recent find ? I'm loving my circa mid 1800's Lamson and Goodnow 3 pins, Bone handle Butter knife. Beautifully forged Blade/Bolster/Tang knife! (would be great for Peanut Butter!).
.) Do I choose one of my custom modified "Old Hickory/Old Hickory type Carbon Butcher Knives" modified by "JKL Knives" (aka Digital Red Beard) ?

.) Perhaps one of my awesome modified Stag Handle Sheffield Carving Knives (about 170'ish years old)

I think I'd like to have a large Opinel included as well. I'm glad Hatchets/Axes/Machetes/Saws etc. were exempt! Great thread by the way as it gave me a LOT to think about.
