If you could only have two knives.....

I know it's not possible for a person to live with only one or two knives; but if you were forced to choose only two for all uses, what would you choose?
I would pick my old SAK Officer model for general use and an Ontario RAT 3. This would cover most, if not all, needs for daily use, hunting, and self-defense if necessary. I would be interested to see other options.

If for some reason that were the case I'd carry my Vic Swiss tool and my SAK. What else do you need?

My Falkniven and my SAK.

Though I would be very sad if I was down to only 2 knives.

Since some here are including the SAK then I assume multi-tools are in so a multi-tool ( Gerber ) and my custom WSK. I would most likely die of a broken heart though after having to leave my wonderfull BM but it just doesn't do what the others can.

You can not do this to us

I'd have to say my Marbles Fieldcraft and SAK Huntsman. Neither would make my "if I could only have 1 knife" list, but they combine to make an outstanding duo.

If I could choose from any knife out there?

I'd probably go with a good medium to large fixed blade. Maybe a Fallkniven F!. Never had one but they seem like they'd suit me rather well.

For the second I'd want either a very good folder or multi-tool. Either a high-end Spyderco or a premium SAK with a nice large, locking blade, saw, can opener / screwdriver and smaller blade.

Busse Magnum EU17, and a tough-as-nails folder. Right now it is a Spydie Lil Temp, but someday ,ight change to a Strider, or better yet, a Busse.

In my current life, I would pick two folders as I have never actually needed a fixed blade. I would keep a big work folder and a smaller dress folder. Strider SMF and Chris Reeve Mnandi. I don't have a Mnandi yet, but it is either next or 2nd-down on my to buy list.

In an "end of the world" scenerio, I would want a fixed blade and something small that can do random chores, such as a Leatherman or a SAK. A large Busse and a Leatherman Charge Ti.

Modded recurve tanto GB and a straight HAK, neither would be my single choice but between the 2 I can do almost anything.

first I would whine like a little girl. then pick an endura 4 plain edge, and my sak {soldier}. then whine some more. later, ahgar
