If you could only have two Spydercos for all your needs...

Delica 3 for light carry, office, slacks, etc.

Mini-Manix for when a substantial knife is needed or desired.

These are the two I carry almost exclusively as it is, for these two situations, which pretty much covers my bases.

I'd miss my Pacific Salt, but the Delica 3 could serve as a water knife in a pinch.

The Manix (Mini and full flavor) is being mentioned quite a bit here. So is the Caly3 C113CF. And the Military (Para and full flavor).

No earth-shattering revelation, there, but I thought I would make a note of it.

As strange as it may seem, I have at least 20 spydercos, including everything from 2 Lum tantos, Herbsts, Delicas, Enduras, Persian, Viele, etc....and of them all, one of the two I would pick for my EDC would be a Volpe. I know that not many people seem to appreciate the unusual blade shape, but for a classy and great carry at work, the Volpe really works for me. For my other knife, I would pick my Delica4 wave. It is easily concealed and always ready to come out in play at a moments notice!

I only own two Spydercos, a Delica and a Pacific Salt. The Delilca is great as an EDC and the Pacific Salt is my sailing knife.

When I'm out and about I generally carry a CF Caly3 and a Viele 2. The Caly3 I use as a food slicer in restaurants and I use the Viele for every other cutting chore.

Hey Dave, do you get a lot of folks looking at you, when your using your Caly
to cut up that pork chop on your plate?:p

It's really hard to beat these knives for general purpose EDC. They were all made for tough use. They're not the flashiest of knives, so it's difficult for the newbies to see how valuable they are to those who actully use them.

And as much as Sal and Spyderco are appreciated on these forums, I don't think too many people realize how much thought is put behind each of the designs Spyderco brings out; which is really self evident once one has handled a wide variety of designs and really EDCs one of these.

For sure, the Stretch or even my Endura might cause a lot of neck turning :)

Well, if we're allowed to dream, I'd choose a Caly 3 and a Forrester. The Caly would be able to handle all of my day to day cutting tasks at work and at home, the Forrester would give me a nice hefty blade to use in the woods.

More realistically for my budget would be the D4W that I already own and a Bill Moran Drop Point. I'd want a hatchet along too when I went out hiking or camping though.

And finally, back to the realm of reality, I currently carry the D4W and a Dragonfly pretty much every day. They're not the only knives I carry, but I think I could get by with just them if I had to. I'd miss the other tools in my Victorinox Swiss Tool and Hiker, but I think I could manage.
