If you could only keep one.... traditional slipjoint- what would it be?

I think I'd sell all my knives, and have a TL-29 custom made.
Rosewood, carbon blades(of course) nice swedges...

That's an easy one...my T.Bose Ivory Swayback Jack #0 (it's the one on the bottom, shamlessly pictured with one that I made for a BF Bro. :D )

MR Hampton. those were two extraorinary knifes, very suited to be picktured together.

I would keep my overall best knife, my Case 63032 medium stockman in cw and brown bone, but it would be hard to separate from mu first high quality slipjoint the puma prospector, the most well executed knife I held in my hand uptil now.

Man, they could be twins. Now, that's a double take. I am going with my small texas jack.

God Bless

I still can't do it. I can't decide. I think I would have to go with whatever was in my pocket when I had to make the decision. Right now it's a GEC Congress. That could work. It has the least attractive scales out of all of my GEC's but has the best blade action of them all.

I would keep my Case Stockman in CV. It is easy to sharpen in the field and it is invisible in my pockets.

yikes...
If it ever comes down to doing this, Kerry can make me one like those, and I'll keep it!

If I could only keep one??

That would be my Case redbone/CV slimline trapper.I love the way it looks & the CV sharpens up easy.

This Queen Classic Cattleknife. It has all my favorites, cattleknife pattern, stag handles and D2 blades in one package!

If I could only keep one slipjoint for the rest of my life it would be this one.

This is the one knife that I know I'll own until the day I die. It has sentimental value as it was in my pocket the day I got married.

Just like a CPU's FPU may have problems calculating the square root of a negative number or dividing by zero is invalid, I too can't seem to deal with this question so my brain is just going to error out with:

"Error: operation is invalid"

I refuse to pick just one and toy can' make me.

Two maybe, my Grandfathers Polish Pruner because after not seein' it for 30 years, (the last time I saw my Grandfather), my cousin saved and gave it to me a few years back when I took my daughter to Hungary to see our family, (I'll never forget how my Grandfather always had it with him and use it to slice pieces of smoked meat, some veggies, and bread from the pantry to make us a snack/lunch in the afternoon.

The second would be the '08 Forums knife ,Northwoods medium Stockman, I just love this knife ad wuldn't give it up for anything.

Easy for me at the moment 'cause I only have one :p

G10 Peanut

Might change when I finally get my Red boned Swayback :)

T,

I love the story about you grandfather's pruner. That knife is priceless.

Well said LOL...

If only one, it would have to be my Grandads old Schrade Walden Stockman. That knife will never go anywhere for the obvious sentimental reasons.

Other than that one it would have to be my 10 dot 6375

Simple. A two blade trapper from T. Bose. However, the missus already knows which one goes with me in the hearse. That's a single blade trapper from T. Bose. My daughter won't let me take with me to the Other Side any of the other knives Tony has made for me; she says they already belong to her.

I have an amber bone Case peanut that my wife gave me as an anniversary gift. I also have a Vic Huntsman SAK that I got when I was 12. Both of these have great sentimental value, so I guess I'd flip a coin.

I have a real affinity for the Case Baby Butterbean. Think I would have to stick with that one.
