If you could only pick 3 knives and only 3?

generally a coocree, a machete and a bowie.
brands and makes are varied, but lets just say "to each his own".
besides, a serious knifenut will never settle for just 3 knives alone.

#2 is already in my B.O.B and I edc the Sebenza everyday. The Rodent Waki is next to the B.O.B.

1) Rodent Waki - For trees and anything big that needs to be taken care of

2) Busse Ash-1 (Fatty) - Good all around TOUGH fixed blade. Will also work for prying.

3) CRK Small Sebenza - Good sized small knife. Very simple construction. Easy to clean and maintain. Good for food prep. Also VERY tough. Might I add that I was in a situation where I needed to start a fire and the only thing I had for splitting wood was my Small CGG sebenza. I used it to baton through 3-4 blocks of wood and got the fire going.

For survival in the woods, RTAKII, Vic Farmer and some kind of small fixed blade, maybe an Izula or Blind Horse patch knife.

I must be the only one here that cooks and uses a kitchen knife.:D

Nope - I do too; that's why I have the Case Folding Hunter. One of the main reasons I take it camping is for food prep. I've used the large clip blade for cutting/trimming/prepping various meats, and the thinner drop-point makes an excellent slicer (vegetables) & fish fillet blade too.

thx - cpr

Only three, eh?
Hmmm.....
Right now in the calm before the storm I will pick these.
In the heat of the moment as all @#$%^&! breaks loose
I reserve the right to change any or all of my selections.

Mnandi- More than tough enough for my daily cutting needs,I enjoy the beauty of it and the incredible f&f,sheeple friendly enough to use anywhere and my Mnandis see more use than anyof my other knives

Small Sebenza(preferably classic with bg42 steel) most of the same reasons as the Mnandi but it can handle the tougher chores(that Mnandi probably could too but I don't want to risk it).

Scrapyard Son of Dogfather LE- For chopping, prying and the toughest of chores.

My JK Fixed Blade, My Spyderco Caly 3 in ZDP-189 and a razor knife. If it were multi tools i'd carry my Victorinox Swisschamp & Swisstool & my buck x-tract.

SAK Climber (in case there are wine bottles needing opening)
Benchmade 940
22 inch machete

I'd like my Estwing axe as well if that's an option.

1. Busse BWM

2. RC-4

3. My 20 yr old SAK - don't know the model but it's loaded with great tools
