If you could...which one?

Andrew, why would you feel the need to even consider an apology?

No one is condemning anyone for their opinion. At least I'm not...

Just offering a perspective nothing more.

It's all good man!

Perhaps I jumped the gun, I am feeling argumentative today.

I took what you posted as a criticism of large "tactical" folder, such as the MUDD. If I misunderstood that, I stand crestfallen and, apologetic.

:o

Andy thanks for the pic's, wish I had a camera, and most of all the know how to post them. Yep sometimes I think to myself, why did I purchase the MUDD ? But this thread got me thinking...its is one tough knife, and sand and water won't be a problem. Sure we've got Benchmades, Spydies, bucks and all that. the Mudd is a new classic to be sure. Oh yeah i love the click click sound it makes when you close it.

You are welcome! It is a very good folder.....

To post pics, you need somebody to host the pics online. I use photobucket, there are others.

Take a pic (need a camera!), upload it to your online host, then copy the url of the photo into the "photo" function. Press "submit reply" and voila!

If I could, I'd probably take my SOG S62 multi-tool. If limited to just a traditional folder, the only one I'd take would be my BM Rukus - big, stout, sharp, stainless, and trustworthy.

Black Sable. Big comfortable handle, nice sweep, needle thin tip.

TKC!!!

Although I like the idea of a Pocket Rocket as a user; after a month in the bush it would look like s**t. It took me too long to get one and it will take a longer time to get Shane to do a refurb on it. Mine will stay in the Bill's case.

:D

My choice

Strider SMF - just the vanilla type and it doesn't matter what it looks like after a month.

If I had a choice of any folder, I'd pick a Spyderco Manix, full-sized, plain edge.

If we're only going by knves we already own, I'd pick my Benchmade Griptilian 551.

The Manix,I forgot all about it, yep that's a good one for sure

I would be just fine with my newly convexed Cara Cara. Light, plenty of blade, takes a very nice edge, and has proven itself to me in the field.

I looked up the manix and it's been discontinued. Does spyderco currently make anything comparable?

Original Gerber folding hunter M2 blade. Maybe.
To my confess, I don't have one. :)

If I am to choose from current production, 112 of Buck.
