If you couldn't carry your CRK what would be your second choice?

A Sebenza has ridden in my pocket every day for the last 15 years. Recently a Hinderer (3.5" Wharnie) has entered the EDC Rotation. Last month on a Backpacking trip, a SnG replaced both my LgReg Sebbie, as well as a Fixed Blade, cutting down on my load.

Still feel like I'm cheating on my Sebenzas tho.

Been mostly rotating my small Seb lately with a 3" XM-18 and the occasional 3.5" XM-18. I wasn't sold on them at first, but they're great knives and the 3" is in the running for my favorite EDC of all time. Carried a SnG for a whole weekend and lake trip a couple weeks ago and don't care what anyone says, it's a nice knife if you get a good one at a good price...wouldn't pay full retail for one.

Basically how I am as well. Either a CRK or a Hinderer in my pocket. 3" Hinderer is perfect for me as I usually EDC a small sebenza. Striders are good (especially with the current gen lock up), but the handles of the XM just fit me better so I sold my Striders. :)

I do have a Benchmade 940-1 thrown in the loop when I am looking to deep clip carry a light weight knife that I am less worried about as it is still in production and fairly easy to find - same can't be said for the classic sebenzas and original umnumzaan, and Hinderer is still pricey on the second hand market. Plus reblades on the Benchmade are only $30, much steeper on the other blades.

I have carried them all and have back time after time to the CRKs. Its insane how much money I have spent on customs and ended up right back where I started but if no CRK I would have to carry my MarcinS "Fat Bowie" Incredible knife, excellent ergos, amazing grind, and its a lot like a sebbie when I look at them both. Just with a small and snappy Bowie grind.

I carry my small 21 Insingo about 90% of the time. Everything about it is perfection for me. It does exactly what I want in splendid fashion. However, there are times (like today) when I feel like carrying something a little different. One of the other knife companies I admire is RHK. They make wonderful products, they stick to their guns, and the knives are quite wonderful.

So, the knife that has began accompanying me on my daily walk is an RHK 3" XM-18 Slicer with a translucent green G10 scale and a stonewashed lockside. I must say that the stonewash on this blade is absolutely, wonderfully, beautifully done.

I really love my Mcusta with cocobolo handles with damascus and a vg-10 core. Great blade shape, especially for food prep, super smooth pivot (almost as good as a sebenza) and very beautiful. Like all decent Japanese-made knives, it came with the sharpest edge I've seen outside of Japanese kitchen knives.

Right now my EDC rotation is CRK (away from work) and William Henry(work) so I guess my non CRK choice would be WH.

If I am not carrying my 25 which seems to be my favorite CRK these days, I carry an Emerson, cqc15, 7 often as well as the Spyderco Military and Manix 2.

If it's not my small plain insingo it's my Techno but I would like to get a 3 inch XM Wharncliffe

After I stopped crying over not being able to keep any of my small Sebenzas in my EDC rotation anymore, I'd probably stick my Laconico Slim EDC in my pocket if I wanted to carry a non-flipper:

If my Sebenza or Mnandi is not in my pocket, then it will be my Jesse Horn boot knife by A.G. Russell.

.... I have got to take a closer look that Laconico Slim posted by BLD522.

Oo we! I wish I'd have bought one of those before they became almost impossible to get. What Sebenza lover wouldn't love such a similar knife that still retains it's own personality.

Hinderer 3" XM-18 non flipper slicer grind
