my second to last purchase on the forums here had me worried. cheap purchase, so no biggie. But tracking says they already delivered the package, but no package to be found. It had been in town for a few days according to the delivery confirmation. So when I check, they say they simply marked the wrong box. Not delivered, but back to the post office for failed delivery attempt. Had the wrong address and zip (transposed numbers) but made it to me the next day.
We continually receive other people's packages and mail (got a stripper's tax w-2 forms a while back, must have been a stripper with that name, and the business was a strip club)
Just a few weeks ago the UPS guy hands me a package and tries to take off, I had to chase him down when I read the wrong name on the label.
I did loose $10,000 cash of some one else's money one time for almost a month (that would have sucked, as I had a fiduciary duty and would have had to pay them back). But luckily I found the super secret hiding spot (this was in a crappy apartment in Bulgaria where I had no safe to store up to $20,000 in cash once a month).
(I was not even drunk at the time either)
So I see how this can happen.
