would it still cover the tip of the blade? Never handled one. I prefer a smoother handle profile with no dips and sweeps.

I can't advise you on how much you can grind the handle down, but if you plan on doing it yourself, be sure to wear a a high quality respirator. G10 is made of fiberglass and the dust will shred your lungs if it gets in.

Taking off the front "horn" could be done, but would then expose the blade tang when the blade is closed. I personally don't like that look, but many knives do have it, so as with most things in life opinions on that will differ. The middle "sweep" could definitely be reshaped a considerable amount without issues, aside from the G-10 dust. The rear "horn" could be lowered considerably, but I don't think it could be completely eliminated. It also appears to be possible to shorten the butt to just beyond the rearmost backspacer screw, if you want to eliminate some of the excess length.

There isn't much space to spare. Removing what space there *is* to spare will
result in a very similar handle profile.

I would very strongly advise you not to carry this out.

good advice. I looked at a site that showed it open AND closed and changed my mind.
