If you had $200

A couple of Mosin Nagant rifles with bayonets.

The bayonets are thick carbon steel with four fullers. You can take a file and sharpen two of the edges and the point...and wrap the base with cord and you would have a pretty good fighting knife.
 
If i had $200 right now to spend on a knife, i honestly think i would get a Benchmade 710 M4 steel. Or a Spyderco Gayle Bradley. Both look like great knives.
 
Since this is a blade forum, I'm gonna pretend this $200 is specifically for blade purchases, and has to be all spent at once, rather than some of it saved for later So, with that in mind:

Marine Ka-bar $55
Condor Hudson Bay knife $40
Condor 15' Bolo Machete $40
Spyderco Endura Blue FRN $62
Cold Steel Polypropylene Cruciform Dagger $3(kinda limited in what you can get for $3, so I figure what the hell)

Voila, $200 covered
 
With $200 ... I'd but a brand new ZT0550 ($160). And a nice padded zipper case for him to sleep in at night ($15). The remaining $25 I would probably use for overnight shipping because I'm an impatient old cuss when it comes to getting my knives.
