If you had 300$...

It wouldn't be one knife I get it be several knives.

Vic Cadet, red
Sodbuster, possibly Queen Country Cousin, AG Russel Rancher, or GEC Bullnose
Case CV Canoe
Ka-Bar Dog's Head Coppersmith small lockback
AG Russell 3in titanium lockback: vg 10 blade, titanium handle, .9oz, canoe shaped, whats not to love

Possibly
Case CV Pen Knife
Vic Alox Bantam

My primary EDC's are Rough Rider Canoe, Wenger Patriot, Kershaw Skyline Damascus. Once you use a small and slim knife like the Wenger Patriot you can't help but love it, it has a blade just long enough to be useful and thick enough that you don't feel like it's going to break and it slices through stuff with ease and it disappears in your pocket or wallet till you need it. For that reason the AG Russell 3in lockback is in on my list as an alternative to that knife.

I have a lot of less expensive Spyderco, Benchmade & ZT knives. For that price range personally I would be looking for something like a Socom Delta, or maybe the new CF ZT 0561. I'm not so interested in paying aftermarket prices for Spyderco sprints but there should be several different ones available for under $300.

Benchmade 940-1
Benchmade Contego in m390
Spyderco Tuff
Spyderco Southard
Spyderco Domino

There are many choices out there.

I think either a spyderco southard or add ten and get a microtech doc with a red alum handle.

From the looks of what you have I would say save up a bit more for a mid tech or, custom. Maybe go Hinderer. Brad Southard is coming out with a sweet mid tech for around $400. Brous Blades' Reloader is really cool for $300.
If I had $300 burning a hole in my pocket I would contact Andre Thorburn and have him build me a knife to my specs. and by the time I had to pay I'll have saved the difference. Oh, waitaminute! That's what i did 2 days ago! I should get it sometime in Nov. wich gives me plenty of time. Other makers may give a quicker return and it never hurts to ask...

Honestly, if I had $300 burning a hole in my pocket I'd go on an overnight road trip. In fact, I do exactly that quite often. Some things are a lot more fun than buying yet another knife.

I agree, and you'll have some good memories, and some fun. (Hopefully);)

For $300 shipped you could get a Three Sisters Forge Beast.

Depends on what your going to do with it.

Are you looking for a user or a worry bead ?

How about a Microtech Socom Delta? It was the 2012 American made knife of the year. I just received mine.. And I cannot keep it out of my hands. :)
