I have 60 dollars burning a hole in my pocket, I love all 3 of these knives but I cant decide which one to get.

Benchmade Griptilian

Kershaw Blur

Spyderco Endura Gen 4

If you have any other suggestions i might like based on these 3 knives i would love to hear it!

I've owned both the griptilian and the endure gen 4. The griptilian is by far my favorite of the two. The blade grind on the endure always annoyed me and the lock wasn't all that great to me. The griptilian was super smooth opening, had a great lock and was sharp as hell. I sold it and definitely regret that move. Have to pick another one up. As for the blur, not sure. I does look col, but not sure how it compares since I know little of it and haven't handled one.

Probably #1 for me, 'cause I own the other two. The Grip and the Endura are the most similar (FRN handles & manual deployment). The Blur is distinctive in that it has aluminum handles and assisted opening.

All three have similarly sized blades. The steel in the Endura is the best of the three (normally VG-10 but you can get ZDP-189 for more money). I think the Grip is 154CM which is better than the Blur's Sandvik (13.... on the older models, possibly 14.... on the new ones.)

What are you looking to get out of your $60?

I'm looking for a companion to my Spyderco Tenacious. I'm also looking for a higher quality knife too with higher grade steel.

My Tenacious freaks out a lot of people so i figured i should get a knife with a smaller blade in terms of width.

With this next knife my Tenacious will become my 24/7 defense blade if the situation arises.

I love my spydie so that's why i don't want to fully replace it.

The knife will become my EDC, cutting anything from wires, cords, boxes, letters, plastic, food, wood... basic ED things...

The Endura 4 has the highest grade steel out of the knives you listed, and probably the best you'll find for around $60.

The Grip I had was fun to play with, but the general blade shape, AXIS lock, and lack of tip down carry kinda killed it for me.

Kershaw knives seem to have an odd rusting problem related to the finish they use on the blade. I don't know if this would apply to the Blur because it has a coated blade.

The Spyderco is probably the most "traditional" of the lot, with the back lock and flat saber grind. You won't be able to flick the knife open as easily, but it carries slim and lockup is great.

I'd save my money and buy something even better.
You are:
2/3 the way there for a Spyderco FRN Stretch
1/2 to a Spyderco Paramilitary
1/5 the way to a Small Sebenza.

I have both the grip and an endura 4 and there are plus to each

Endura-
Good Steel
Very Slim in pocket
Dead reliable lock

Grip-
Good Steel
A little thick in the pocket
Axis lock

If it were me I would probably go with the Endura. I prefer the 154cm on the grip as well as the grind. (Mine is one of the early ones with a flat grind) But I prefer the handle on the Endura as well as the thickness of the knife when it is in pocket. Since you plan to EDC this knife I would definitly consider this. Then I always have the thought in the back of my head that the omega spring in the grip is going to break. Even though there are more than enough reports of this spring being very reliable.

Get a Spyderco Cat, or go with the Grip.

I don't like backlocks so I would get one of these two listed.

And if you're concerned with scaring people I would get the smaller model like mini grip or delica, because IMO it's the length not that width that scares people.

In no particular order:

Benchmade 551
Spyderco Endura Wave
Spyderco Tasman Salt/Salt 1/ Pacific Salt
A good multitool if you don't have one
Case Trapper
Kershaw Zing

The reason i liked the Griptilian was because of how strong and reliable the axis lock is. My brother said that instead of wasting my money on the knives Ive bought that i should get a good reliable knife that wont make me want to get others because it wasn't good enough. The Endura however looks absolutely amazing in toxic green, i just wish it wasn't a forum knife.. cause i cant seem to find one cheaper than like 140... He actually just recently got a knife that has been on my radar for a while, a Boker Subcom... he said he needed something that was more sheeple friendly than his griptilian.. which is making me kinda have second thoughts about it.. cause that's the reason im getting a knife...
