If you had to choose a first...

Feverdoc, as a chiropractor I don't wear a white coat, hence I can't hide anything underneath. I just don't like the utility belt look, anyway. I don't carry a pager, cell phone, or anything else like that on my belt, and I really don't like the way a knife clip looks with dress pants, which is why I wanted something small and light that will fit in the bottom of my pants pocket. When I am in street clothes I can be counted on to have at least one clip knife on my person, and usually a few more hiden here and there. I just don't like the aesthetics of a pocket clip or belt knife with dress clothes for my own look. And I really hate white coats, which is why I don't wear one (plus I'm not in contact with bodily fluids most of the time, so scrubs, white coats, and the other usual medical garb is unnecessary for my office.

point well taken.....i didnt realize you were a chiropracter but then again chiro75 should have given me a clue...duh!...:)...i dont go for the bat belt look either and only by necessity do i carry a pager (i hate to carry cell phones on my belt)...i see how you would have a bit of a hard time hiding a pocket clip on dress pants if you dont have a coat or a pager to help camo your knife...the small seb isnt too large to carry in the bottom of your pocket and crk makes a clip insert to fill in the space left when pocket clip is removed....as i stated a few posts earlier whether you get a small seb or an umfaan or a mnandi you cant go wrong depending on personal tastes....any one of these will last you a lifetime inside and outside the office...now the hard thing is to choose your first crk and the next hard thing will be to stop only after one purchase....i tried to stop and am now addicted....i just bought a small wood inlay tonight!.....i gotta find a twelve step meeting for my seb/one piece range addiction!.....feverdoc

Sebenzas should come with a Surgeon General type message: WARNING may lead to addiction and poor financial standing ;)

Chiro75,
While all of the folders in the CRK line can be dressed up, I would suggest the new Mnandi. Classy looking, small, light, and I'm sure it could be pressed into tougher service if needed. BTW, I have never handled one, but just looking at the specs in the Blade Magazine ad...

But of the CRK folders I have handled, I would suggest a small woodie.

I carry a Large Classic Unique Graphic, because I like the larger knife, and it doesn't seem to freak too many people out.

Aloha

I'd suggest the small Sebenza, it will fill your needs well.

You might want to add a D.C. to the end of your signature so that people don't mistake you for an M.D. Ex: Dr. John Littlejohn, D.C. or Dr. John Bigbootie, PhD.
