If you had to choose just one knife...

If I had to pick one because of financial reasons, Id get either a mora or a SAK. it is stupid to buy an expensive knife when you cant afford to pay the bills.

If we are just messing around, Id probably pick a spyderco military as an all around knife. I dont have one though. There is no do-it-all knife and I prefer to specialize.

Yes, it's stupid to buy when one can't pay the bills. But one doesn't need to sell an expensive knife that one already bought if it isn't necessary.

I wonder how many times I've responded to a "Just one knife" thread? :D

I'll go with my old standby.... Spyderco Paramilitary.

i own many many folders, but the two that would be the most difficult to replace:

-hinderer xm18: seem to be more available now on the secondary market, but prices are still sky high.

-ug lge sebenza: to replace with a similar one would be pricey.

it would be between those two, glad i dont have to decide. everything else i have is production and could be replaced fairly easily. well, except my '99 cqc7. and that persian was a pain to find.

yeah, im glad i dont have to decide.

Yeah, I didn't actually mean to start a "just one" thread again. I was just pointing out that I had to actually pick just one. Oh well:o:p.

My tastes run to inexpensive, reasonable quality knives, which all get used. That being the case I'd not have to choose, since none of my knives would bring in much if I tried to sell them.
Sometimes it is good to be of Scottish descent.:D

Anyone care to join me?

Not me. I can barely go a couple of days without changing my EDC knife. :)

If I had to stick to just one, it might be a stainless Delica 4. Its thin, hefty, ergonomically just right, and cuts great. It does not seem to get much love at BF, but I really like the thin, stainless Delica and (old style) Police.

A workhorse like a Buck 110 would be a contender, as would something like a Lum Chinese or Sage II that to me are as much artwork and pocket candy as they are knives.

But there are many other good contenders, from a Fallkniven U2 to Sebenza to Sodbuster to the Spydie Military.

I would have to go with my Spyderco Para Military in D2. I have a good number of knives but that one stands out by far.
