If you had to choose one...

Just curious- if you guys had to do it, could you pick one small-medium sized (3"-5") fixed blade for woods duty out of your current line-up, to be your 'one and only'?

I'm not asking 'if you could only have one cutting tool in the woods', we can assume you'd also have a chopper or pocket knife or whatever you prefer. This is just about the one belt knife.

I can narrow mine down to about two, but it's a tough decision past that. I'd say either my Brian Andrews bushy or the Bushcraft Northwest I just got.

I'd take a Koster Bushcraft. Done everything with that knife, it works well and I trust it. Unfortunately I gave it away...

Right now it would be my BRKT Kephart. I think in a close second would currently be my Gunny.

I don't have my Koster Buscraft yet though - It is coming soon!

I'm 100 % sure about that - it would be my Kauhavan puukko
A great knife !

Well I just got rid of a bunch of my belt knives. All I really have in that size is an old Anza file knife I've never used, an old sharp finger, a couple of ColdSteel plastic handled 4116 krupp knives, a mora, a swick, BM 14100, kershaw military boot knife, nothing too exciting. I guess I'd take my mora.
And of course I'd take along my BM Snody folder (or BM 630 or Dejavoo or Endura 4 or... you get the picture), and my Vic Farmer, and of course my Wetterlings.

I think I already did choose, but I'll know for sure after tomorrow so i'll answer then.

Breeden big paw most likely.......I think it is because it was one I designed, it does what I want and at 5/32" thick it is a compromise between heavy weight robustness and good slicer. I still like that one the best as an all rounder of all my blades.

Hi all,

Yes, I have chosen one, but I have 2 in the same
design, but with different handle colors. 6 days
of the week I carry my orange handle belt knife
but today I am using my Green handled one.
Sunday I am going to start on the
3rd knife, (same design) but I am going to put
on a tan micarta handle on that one.

Cool Thread Will,

At this moment in time it would be either mt JK TTSK....

Or my ML Kephart.....

I would have to pick the knife that finds itself on my belt more then all the rest.

This custom by knifemaker Jim Stewart.

Well, I really like my Bark River Canadian Special, but I just got this Bark River Fox River (shown here with my River Recurve) and I think it's going to give it a run for it's money. I love this knife!! I'd be happy with it being my one and only!

I can only narrow mine down to 2 as well. My model 1 leuku pattern bushcrafter by Koyote and my Muskrat Man scandi puuko bushcrafter. I'd feel fine with either of them.
