  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

If you had to choose one...

I already stated the SRKW Bog Dog, but have to admit, The Carbon V master hunter is my "other" choice as well.

Tough one. A month ago I would have said my JK Hiker.

But the more I use this little guy (3" blade), the more I love it. I don't feel under-knifed in the woods.

AK EDC from Stomper.

I can only get it down to three right now, until I get out to use each more.

NWA Sierra Scout
BRKT Bravo-1 (CPM-154 on this one)
BRKT Gunny

99% of my knives fall into the mid sized range, so choosing one would be tough. But I'd say my Sierra Scout and a custom Laconico would filter to the top.

I also have mostly fixed blades in that size, maybe 30 from notable makers including a couple of master smiths. Out of all of em, I go for Brian Goode's Sidekick model for a user. The right size, easy to sharpen, and holds a wicked edge.

God I gotta get me one of those NWA forum knives someday...

Great stuff guys! Love the pics. Some good blades in this thread.

This setup has been working well for me for over a year. So I'd have to say the BRKT Aurora.

Fly rod/reel (Im guessing, thats what I keep in the case that I have that looks like that)

Grohmann #3 Jump Knife. Closed sheath better for bushwhacking in case lanyard gets hung up. Saves you from loosing your knife. None better imho

By the way, this has been bothering me for a while: what the hell is in that green case???

spooky sorry for the wait haha cmdionne had it right. fly rod and reel setup. basically plastic tubing covered in a durable fabric. straps to my pack and off i go.

Under 6" = Ontario pilot survival knife

Over 6" = Kabar Std. c/w kraton handle, kydex sheath or SRK in Carbon 5
