If you had to get the hell out of Dodge...

Depends on how much time I have, and what is happening. If there is an 8.9 earthquake and the house feels like it's going to collapse I'm grabbing my family members and getting out of the house. If it's anything less dire and a little bit less urgent I am taking every single one of my knives, my beloved 1911, and some clothes/food.... everything else is replaceable :D

Well I don't have that many knives so let's see.

BK2, mora clipper, buck packlite skinner, shrade stockman, and meyrco necklance are in or strapped to my pack.

BK13 and a SRM 710 are in my PSK which is in my car along with a canteen.

Only blade not packed and ready to go is my trusty Wenger Evo S10 which sits in the basket by the door and is my EDC, I would grab it on the way out. The Death Dagger is currently packed in the closet with the tent so I would be grabbing those as well.

I do have another 710 sitting on the bedstand but would just leave it behind.

So besides what I have packed now which is the 2,9, and the 14 id grab the buck 119 for the early 70s my dad gave me, the bk10 if its here and the flint knife on seal bone I have. Those are irreplaceable so they need to come in the event I can never come back

Am I the only one who brings a bunch of blades with me when I leave the house? Seriously I think between on my person , vehicle and Versapack I'd have more than 10 blades at my disposal. If I had to move my family quickly i'd probably leave some behind.

Eskabar and SAK will be on me. BK11 and BK13 in my goody bag. BK9 hanging on the passenger seat of my truck.

SHTF better wait till after the tweeners are released.

Beyond the knives you had packed in your bags, what knives do you own that would make the evacuation? For example, I live in NYC, so if the shizzle hit the fizzle, I'd have the BK3, RTAK-II and Leatherman in my B.O.B., however as Nick a.k.a. Crazy said it, I'd have to go for the queens and get the hell out of Dodge.

The 77s would absolutely get packed, but what would you guys pack?
question asks which knives would you take...BK's 2, 13, and 14. 2 for the heavy work, 13 for small sharp work and little miss 14 for everything else. I also carry a saw in my BOB. I bet I could put the soon to be mine 10 to work also.

You missed the question, besides the essentials, what part of your collection makes it out alive?

Sorry bud, it was a casual perusal. To be honest I don't have any top end ''collecter'' knives. I have always primarily viewed knives as an outdoors tool, with a lesser secondary collecting interest. I don't even want some Becker models as they are of little to no use to me. I went through a Kershaw jag a while back but gave them all away, along with a Ka-Bar kukri etc. They come and they go. I'll see if I can dig up a fairly recent pic of what I have and cherry pick.

I would grab the Campanion, Brute and Potbelly. Folders: The C95 Manix, Rajah 2 and Leatherman Blast. I go for toughness and function over looks, but if they look cool also, cherry pie for me.:)

I've tossed the gloves, and just slip the sheeps back legs into my boots.:D

Yeah I do that too, but I still use the gloves. I don't know if you guys know this trick but if you try to push them off a cliff they'll push back ;)

I'd take what I could. I have my BK2 by bedside, along with 95% of my collection. I'm a podiatrist, so all of my medical supplies are in my truck/car, with a Mil-Spec shovel, binoculars, and a Tire Iron. :D I could easily throw all of my stuff in a bag within seconds. Get whatever else is important, grab the family, (if there is time, the animals), and get my ass a movin'.

But, if I had to grab specific knives, they would be~

-BK2 (we ARE in a Becker forum....:D)
-Fallkniven F1
-Spyderco Para-Military 2 and Manix 2
-Leatherman PST and Wave, along with the SAK collection.
-BK-11
-Mora Scout
-Gerber Axe
-AAAAAND a Case knife of some sorts.

I thought that Mr. B. was getting the Brute brought back.

Movin, to hill country! ...Oh ya, knives... bugging out. Well I'm packing the knives and herding the woolies up to the hills.
