If you had to pick 3 blades what would they be ?

The purpose of this is I need to down size my blades and buy good ones the criteria are they can only be busse swamp or scrap ..These blades would be used for general purpose woods bumming camp chores survival hunting work and just general farting around please tell me which 3 knives you would pic and why they can be a mix of all 3 companys or all the same .. thanks again and hello

Well, first and foremost, I would go big utilitarian size, so a BM or an SH would be one choice. My own choice would be SHBM.

Next up would be something very small that I can have with me at all times clipped to my pants or around my neck. I would pick a GW or AD. My pick would be a Meaner Street

those two would cover nearly everything I would need. So the next one would e for whatever and I think I would pick a RUCK for that.
 
Man...

WAY TOO TOUGH!!

- Game Warden, Active Duty or Meaner Street for the smaller Utility blade...
- SH-1A, Uncle MoFo, Satin Jack or BATAC for medium duty stuff...
- FBM LE, HOGFSH/MOASH/HOGFSH LE for the bigger chores...

If I could only keep 3 of the blades I have, I could only narrow it down to 4...

1) Active Duty Custom from Blade '07 (Never handled a Meaner and my EDC Milganzaas haven't arrived yet)
2) SH-1A SE and my DC Uncle MoFo are amazing - no way I could choose one over the other (Haven't gotten my BATAC LE yet for comparison)
3) FBM LE - As if!?!?!??!?!
4) AK-47, to rule them all...

Thank God I don't have to narrow it down to that many... Yet...:eek:
 
big: battle mistress, in any variation
medium: outlaw, in any variation
small: meaner street or leaner street.
 
Well, for my big knife, I would choose a BBSHSH proto, for my medium knife I would choose a BBSHSH and for my small knife I would take a SH1 or a BB Ugly Warden! :confused:


 
In a nutshell, these three generic groupings would serve you quite well:

Steel Heart
Satin Jack
Street

Any generation or mixture thereof will suit.

Or

Ruck, HOGFSH and AD.

Exercises like this give me the cold sweats!
 
In order of importance I would have to take an Active Duty, an Ergo Steel Heart, and a FBM:D

Well, wait a minute.........ok, the other voice (the one that always begs for beer:rolleyes:.) is telling me that it should be a Mean Street, an Ergo or Fat Tac Badger, and a Heavy Heart.

I have a feeling that my BOB is going to heavier than the rest of you:thumbup:

These are two different questions.......

1) Selecting 3 from what you currently OWN......

2) Selecting 3 that have ever been available.......

Which result in two entirely different answers... I'm working on mine still...
 
Let's see

1.) Clip point MOASH Variant (wide as a boat just screams Busse)
2.) SFNO with mags (perfect all purpose)
3.) FBM Proto (great chopper)

Ok, three culled from what I already own......

1) Heavy Heart w/ Snakeskin

2) Hell Razor

3) Active Duty OR a Swamprat Howling Rat LM, modified.

4) If I could add a 4th, it would be the FBM

3 that have been available to the masses........

1) Satin/Double Cut FSH SE or the Recurve FSH from the last 'ganzaaa

2) SFNO, double cut w/ snakeskin or black G-10

3) Leaner Street, LE version.
