Then I have a giveaway for you!

I noticed I'm coming up on a 10,000 post milestone, so I thought of how to give back t0 this wonderful forum. I have a very nice old school locking sodbuster made by Henkels of Germany. This was back when they were a nice flat ground carbon steel blade that cuts as well as an Opinel, but stands up to water better. Christian gifted it to me back when I was having hand trouble and survey, and since recovering, I am not using it much, so I want to pass it on with his blessing. I've rubbed down the handle with linseed oil and it's a great piece of walnut, or whatever wood. The blade holds a scary sharp edge pretty well.

Rules for giveaway: you must be a regular on the traditional forum, and post a phot/photo's of your sodbusters. I'll run the giveaway until next Saturday, and your post number will be your entry. I want this knife to go to a sodbuster fan, who will use but not abuse this knife.

Good luck.

Carl.

Congrats on your upcoming milestone, Carl. That's a beautiful 'buster, but since I rarely carry the couple I already have, this is not an entry.

That's a great specimen! Congratulations on your upcoming milestone. I don't have any sodbusters to share, so this is not an entry.

Ain't gonna lie, been interested in one of those for awhile
gotta throw my hat in and try
thanks for the opportunity

The chance to own a genuine Jackknife knife?! I'm in like Flynn! :D Great stuff Carl, congratulations on (coming up to) 10,000 great posts :)

The Case came from Woodrow :) Later, the Black Angus went to his brother-in-law, Angus! :D

My latest Soddie, a fabulous GEC Farm & Field Bullnose from Meako :)

That is a beautiful sodbuster Jackknife, and a very generous offer, count me in please.

I don't post much, but am really enjoying the traditional and fixed blade forum. I also really enjoy my Sod buster Jr. Just took these pics today by coincidence to show the patina. Thanks for the opportunity.

Not an entry. Congrats! the first 10,000 are the hardest.:D

I don't have any Sodbusters but am a big fan of the look and do carry single blade knives alot. A single barlow and a Opinel #6, and the Vic Cadet take turns as my carry knives. Would love the chance at it.

Not an entry since I have two of these already! That's a beauty of a knife and a generous offer, someone's getting a fine knife! Congrats on the milestone bro:thumbup:

Also not an entry. But here's a shot of my modified Soddie Jr. and peanut:
