Not sure how many of you know about Blind Horse Knives (BHK) but they have some nice offerings and have a monthly special every month. Just wanted to mention that the Feb. special looks great and is a good deal. I just ordered one. If you like the Izula you might wanna check it out.

BHK.

How is 4140 blade steel?

How does it compare to 1095?

These look very nice for the price.

I'm not entirely sure, but it's a metal they use for saw blades so it has to be pretty decent. I think a few people here own some BHK's maybe they could give their opinions on it.

Just a tad thicker? Izula is .156 BHK is .25 MUCH thicker. Not even close.

Oops. Guys sorry about the mis information on the thickness...I just fixed the website. The thickness is right around 3/16" maybe a tad less. The saw blade stock veries and the last batch were a bit thicker, my apologies. Thanks for the post here, as I am a RAT fan myself.

This a great little company....keep an eye on them! The similarites between ESEE and BHK I think is the quality product for the money. We look forward to their knives!

For $55, thats a really nice knife with a leather sheath and S&H included, talk about a deal!

Why did you have to go and correct it. I had convinced myself that I neither wanted nor needed it based on the the .25 thickness. Now I'm forced to re-consider and likely purchase it.

It does look like a nice little knife. I don't have any experience with the 4140 blade steel.

I've really liked all the BHK that I've gotten a chance to use. Good stuff.

I don't know anything about the steel but I haven't heard any complaints and the examples I've had a chance to use were all plenty sharp and stayed that way.

4140 is tough stuff - they used to drop forge axe heads out of it.
it's also used a lot in the aircraft industry.
