If you ran Cold Steel, what steel would you use?

Actually you might recall the earliest Cold steel products were very respectable production knives. And they were made from Carbon V here in America.

That's a very good point. The demise of Camillus hurt more than just Camillus. They made some very good and reasonably priced knives for Cold Steel.
 
I think that cold steel has a very good business model at the moment. The steel works for them and for the majority of their target market. So if I were running cold steel, I'd be looking at the bottom line like any other CEO or business owner.
 
VG-10 performs great and isn't very expensive. AUS-8 is really more of a $20-$30 knife steel.
 
mayby getting ot of china would be a good start you cant believe what type of junk steel they use just like there ammo if it says none corrosive they lie
