As hard a choice as this is it would have to be my Case 3318 CV Stockman and my SAK Farmer:thumbup: I really love my SAKS but don't always think of them as Traditional Traditionals:confused:

Limiting myself to what I have on hand, I would say my Moore Maker 5301 stockman and my Queen Mountain Man.

Case CV Trapper and a Buck 110 for me. I am sure I could get by with just the trapper and save the belt space for a bigger flashlight though.

Well I re-thought my first answer, this is the rethink,

If I get to be modern age, I would take two David Yellowhorse 110s, go to the public library use there computer put'em on Ebay sellem with payment to a PayPall account. I would then immediately transfer money from PayPal to online Bus Ticket ride east where I would receive the reward prize and cancel the sale and send the peoples money back, keep the knives and never darken Ebays door again.
Or I would take a SAK with saw and it would be a toss up between a Buck 112 or a 307.

Fun question. Of course, I'm a sucker for these what-if, what-would-you-take scenarios!

FOr me, I'd want a basic fixed blade with a 3 7/8", carbon steel blade and a scout pattern knife, perhaps AG Russel's scout knife. Of course, a SAK with saw blade would be very useful, too... hmmm... Plus, I'm not well-versed in traditional fixed blades, so I've no idea what I'd take in that department. But, those are my choices:

carbon fixed blade
SAK Soldier or Farmer

I'd have a stout knife for hard work, a slipjoint blade for regular tasks, a saw blade, a can opener, an awl, a bottle opener, and some screwdriver blades. Yeah, sounds good to me!

I would bring two of my most expensive traditionals and sell them at a pawn shop to buy the bus ticket to get to the east coast destination. Forget working at a car wash and living under an overpass. The object is to get there and win, right?

Not really, the object is the adventure. Sometimes the most important thing about a trip is what's in between the beginning and the end.

At 55 just riding a bus acorss the country might be adventure enough for me. Try a small trip some weekend and you will see what I mean...........another opinion is, between Callifroni' and east of the smokies you would have a suprisingly more friendly time. Especially, in finding part time work. Small town papers in the west and midwest would jump at putting your story in print and you would quickly get you work, shelter and supporters. The only better thing you could do would be to be driving a bus full of Scouts or Royal Rangers, then you would have more help than you could use..........300Bucks

Case Trapper

Buck 110

I'm set.

(I don't need a can opener since I would live on Beef Jerky and bourbon. Yeah!)

:)

when you guys return you will have 2 take a bus or train as you could never board a plane with those knives.

Easy...

By the way: 1969, San Bernardino, CA. to Washington, DC, $0.32 in my pocket. No knives. Tiny backpack. A skinny thumb. Made it just fine.
