So what part of the country are you in? or is it just a all around everyday knife?

3.5 if It is for everyday use and survival in the desert. (where I live)

5.1 if it is survival and in any part of the world. Minus the Desert.

It's really a tough call but the 4.7 feels so nice. I'll find out more when I take it up north this weekend.

I'd take the 5.1 with me. Never tried a 7/7 though.

5.1 for me definitely. Good enough for moderate chopping and small enough for finer work. The 4.7 would fit in well too.
