If you were reduced to one gso knife

5.1, which is why I got preordered one. despite it being the one I naively thought I would only need one s!k. I was wrong

I would prefer being addicted to S!K than my main focus CRK. The S!K are still affordably priced, not easy to get at right away so that keeps the spending very manageable and limited in selection. Try collecting Sebenzas....
 
In the survival training I have done and the many times abroad, I think the 5.1 is about perfect! Using a bigger knife poses many problems... And trusting you can beat a knife in a survival situation is irrational, the knife has a place as a defensive tool, hunting tool and game cleaning tool! If you plan to use it for wood prep when that is all you have, setting yourself up for failure IMO...

Seriously though, 5.1 with choil or 5.0 w/o
 
This is almost as impossible as knowing what the meaning of life is.
If every knife from the GSO lineup were available right now, I'd pick the 8.
If I had to choose from what's in front of me, it would be the 4.1.

It would have to be the largest I could get in 20v. I'd need a stainless so all my crying didn't rust my blade out.
 
One Survive! knife, I would probably choose the GSO 8, although I have never handled one but if it is anything like the 5.1 I had then I'd be good.

Of my current knives, it would be the TGLB, which is about 8", so the GSO 8 would be in this size range. Something big enough to chop or use as defense yet small enough to for cutting, gutting and basic carving.

I guess it would be the 5.1?? Or the 4.1, or the 7/7, wait you know I do love my N2, my 3.5 is kind of nice, what about my 5, 6 & 10?....wait isn't the new 4.7 SK, 2.7, 4.1, 4.5, 4.7, 7/7, 8, 10 and 12 coming out too???????? THE QUESTION IS TOO HARD!!!! I can't have just one!!!!*

HAHA! This is exactly why it took me a couple days to reply to this thread! Narrowing the options down to one knife is honestly painful to think about.
To answer your question on how many knives do you need....
All of them.
In every steel.
