Thank you Lord for letting me live in the old west Arizona. I can carry any knife or gun I want as long as 1 inch of the gun or knife can be seen by an average person.
I believe it would have to be my Scott Cook large Owyhee hunter with stabilized amboynia burl handle slabs and S30V blade. One of the sharpest knives I own; but the best thing about the knife is the way it carries. Whenever I put this knife on my belt, it carries so nicely that I completely forget I have it on until I need it. That's the kind of knife I like to carry. One that doesnt poke you in the leg or stick you in the side when you bend over or sit down.
If I can carry anything I want, I'd carry my Gerber Yari AND my BK 9 Combat Bowie. Those Scandinavian Puuko/Leku combos always made sense to me, and this (already paid for) combo would be a pretty similar concept.
Since I only have a few sheath knives I would carry either my Spyderco Moran drop point or my Grohmann Boat knife. I prefer the sheath and steel on the Spyderco but prefer the ergonomics of the Boat knife so it would be a tough choice.
In a "perfect" world, I'd carry what I am carrying today... my Dozier straight personal. Second choice thus far would be my Dozier toothpick. Bob Dozier makes one of the best ever knives I have ever had the pleasure of cutting with and I for one love his horizontal sheathes. Small and unobtrusive, and able to slip easily into the pocket if sheeple situations arise. Heck I leave it on my belt almost all the time now, only exceptions are where there are potential security concerns that are newly in place.
I suppose that I'd like to have my BK-9 handy close by though.
