...then I hope she either doesn't see this display or she knows enough to just walk on by.

Check that awesome price: that's less than $1 each!

elkins45, was this at a Lowe's near you, or was this on the internet??
Not interested, just wanted to let my dear brother-in-law know I did not need any knives this year . . . :)
Be safe.

If I couldn't return them I would just toss them in the trash, there's just no way I could bring myself to re-gift them as it would reflect on my judgement in cutlery.

I don't understand the "AT" marketing idea. I have hiked hundreds and hundreds of miles on the AT with dozens and dozens of people, and most serious long-distance hikers carry one small quality knife. Several carry no knife at all (it's a "weight" thing - those are the same guys who cut the handles off their toothbrush, and shave the corners off all their bottles).

Maybe they are implying that you will wear these things out so fast that you'll need 25 to get you through your hike?

I used to work p/t at Lowes - and there will be people buying them.

Mostly kids and people who work landscaping and construction jobs (manual laborers).

I used to laugh every time I walked by the display.

Georgetown, KY. The shoppers probably wondered why I whipped out my phone to take a photo of the knife sale.

My favorite part is that it's a SALE price---normally $49.98! :barf:

My wife wouldn't buy me a knife anyway, she thinks I "have too many". I told her I agree, downsize the cheap knives, restock with few more expensive knives! :D

I was just at the Lowe's in Highland Heights & I did not see this display while we were in the store. Ha, maybe they sold out !!!

Yes these are some items to steer clear of. I mean half of the words on the front are in some language most of us can't even read....This should be warning enough.

I was actually going to get these the other day to practice on my new belt grinder, but I just put them back :D

Ohhh boy, looks like I know what I'm probably gonna get from some well-meaning relative...

If I was going to give the gift of sharp steel I'd rather do it with 1 knife for $25 than a bunch of cheap junk - better to return these if you can and also smack the retarded relative upside the head for thinking that they should give you a pile of crap! I agree about not wanting to re-gift these - anyone that re-gifts these also deserves a smack upside the head!
