They know I love knives, and almost everyone of them also knows nothing about knives. If they get it for me, well, at least they were thinking of me and trying to get me something they know I have a passion for.

The more I look at that picture the more stupid it looks. So little variety, so bloody pointless! Why would anyone need so many similar folders? Is it so you can have one each day? 25 days before the entire collection is broken?

For $25 I'd rather have a Mora & an Opinel. Sure that is only 2 knives, but after 3 months you still have 2 knives - the person that started with 25 knives would only have zero unbroken knives! 2 > 0

That's just such a waste of 420J2 steel. All of that steel could have been used as liners in quality folders or in laminations of steel for knives like FallKniven.

Unfortunately, they will sell hundreds of those knives to well meaning children and wives that just don't know any better. It happens to my friends all the time. Fortunately for me, (after a popeil pocket fisherman) I taught my wife many years ago not to buy me any knives or fishing gear without me being peresent.

I was in Walmart the other day and what did I see among the various knives offered for sale but a folder with a 3 1/2" blade going for the princely sum of $1.00.....
